For sale is a stunning American Pro II P Bass from 2021 in Miami Blue. It's in mint condition and comes with the original pickguard plus a WD Music black pickguard. It plays beautifully with a lovely low action. The bass comes with the original Fender case plus all accessories and tags. It weighs in a lovely 9lbs dead according to our digital kitchen scales. It's a really difficult colour to photograph and is actually more of a dark turquoise in the flesh. Either way, it's lovely. I've not had this too long but now I've started gigging again I'm likely to be using my G&Ls or my SR5, so sadly this won't get much use and it will sit there gathering dust. I'm looking for £1,250 delivered although I'd rather this was picked up or handed over within an hour of Monmouth. No trades please

For sale only: Fender Custom Shop Sean Hurley '61 Precision (2019), £2750 This is my second Fender Custom Shop Sean Hurley signature ’61 precision - I had sold my first one (in charcoal frost) to the mighty @Old Man Riva , who had prophetically wondered if I was sure - as I would miss it! Indeed Mick was right, and so when this one appeared secondhand at Bass Direct I snapped it up. Specs and condition It has a slab rosewood board, 1.75” nut width, 7.25” radius. Weight is 3.98kg. Full specs in the 'floorwalker' photo below. Relic-ing is on the back of the neck only, meaning it’s beautifully smooth and fast. The nitro finish on the body has some level faint ‘crackle’ lines but is otherwise un-reliced. Strangely when it arrived from Bass Direct the rocker mute was on the wrong way around (!), which has left a faint mark I’ve tried to capture in the photo - not noticeable unless you look closely. The rocker mute is a nice feature to toggle between muted/unmuted quickly, and is adjustable in terms of pressure applied to the strings. Personally I’ve left it ‘firmly on mute’ recently as I’ve been practicing Jamerson lines. I love the playability with the stock La Bella light flats, and it pairs beautifully with my Noble pre. Case has a couple of scuffs (see pics), but otherwise in excellent condition with keys and case candy including unworn Fender strap. A splendid bass, but having picked up a gorgeous Marleaux sixer for solo playing, and not gigging, it must make way! A somewhat fleeting offering of my 2018 Music Man Stingray Special H 4 string. A bass has come up on here that I'm extremely keen on, this will be withdrawn on the sale of that. Absolutely no cash or trade offers. So this is a stunning example of the new StingRay Special basses, bought from Bass Direct used a few months ago. Early special so still has the lightweight swamp ash body (believe the newer models are heavier and "select hardwood" now) so is a lovely 8.5lb The finish is just incredible and not easy to come across now. The bass comes with a matte black guard as well as the standard stock b/w/b. Its also fitted with a matching D Tuner. Bass Direct ad and pics below. More available on request: Remains in the same condition as bought in, usual swirls on pickguards but thats about it. Comes with the Music Man hardcase and original E tuning key (machine only), fitted with Optima Gold Strings, which look rather splendid. I won't post this, happy to drive a reasonable distance to meet up. Generally trying to avoid house visits/collections at the mo due to Covid and vulnerable household members, so dodgy service station meet ideal. As mentioned, its only going to be available whilst the target bass is available, so recommend you act quickly if you want it

Stunning 20th av Stingray for sale. This one has beautifully rich quilted maple top with a Birdseye maple neck that is to die for. Neck is quite shallow in profile and the satin finish makes it lightening fast to get around. Overall condition is very good. Plays perfectly and buzz free with low action. Frets are perfect as are all electronics. Condition is great. It’s been very well looked after. No nicks or anything through the finish. I think a tiny mark was touched up on the back (see pic 5, just below neck plate)and possibly another on the lower bout. This work was done by a professional. The bout is perfect with no sign of ever being nicked but there is a hint of gold in the undercoat on one tiny area. You can see this in pic 6. Only other point of note is a 1 cm line in the outer lacquer under the neck joint (barely visible pic 9) These things are so minor that I’m not sure did it come from the factory like this or as I said “touched up by a pro” It comes with the original Musicman case which is perfect except for a crack in one of the corners. Weight is about average at 9.4lbs This is one of the best examples I’ve seen of these now rare basses. Note: some of the pictures make it seem lighter in colour than it actually is. My lovely Special is now up for sale as since I’ve had my 74 P I’ve barely touched it and it’s way too good to be a wall decoration. I’ve had the bass from new in late 2018. For full disclosure the body was replaced by Ernie Ball USA last year due to the previous having an ‘ash bora beetle’ infestation. Turns out there was a few basses affected by this infamous little bug that had a penchant for a specific type of ash. Ernie Ball were truly amazing in sorting everything out, excellent customer service throughout. The whole bass was then checked over and set up with the new body by UK Ernie Ball reps and as such the body really remains pristine. It will come with the correct D-tuner (cost me £120), Musicman original case and the case candy + original tuner. Plays amazingly, lots of tonal versatility from the 18v preamp. There’s a small dink on the head stock and a tiny spot on neck (see pics), otherwise in excellent condition. The Om transfer on the pickguard is easily removable if so desired. Being the special it’s a lightweight bass in comparison to its predecessors, I think 8.5lbs from memory. Also I don’t think they do the Aqua sparkle colour anymore so here’s a chance to get ‘the one’. It’s a proper funk machine and by far the best Stingray I have owned. Looking for £1650 collected, willing to work with buyer on courier options but buyer will be responsible for costs/insurance. *Possible trades but will need at least £1k cash my way - lightweight jazz bass (under 8.5lbs), Barefaced One ten, Sterling Ray 34 or similar, Sub stingray, either US or the recent cheaper ones.

Hello, Fender Vintera 50s Precision Bass Dakota Red Maple Fingerboard. I bought this from guitarguitar as a back up bass, the pictures are from their website, it still looks the same. It's virtually unused, obviously, I have actually played it, but never gigged...Comes with the Fender gig bag. I can bubble wrap/box it etc;-if you sort out a courier to collect. The clearout of basses I really like but don't play enough continues. Unfortunately I have about 10 different Fender J's (plus some active J's from other builders) so I'm trying to cut back on them a little. This is a particularly nice USA Jazz bass in one of my favourite colour combinations - a creamy Olympic White with a funky tort guard. It's unlike me to buy a modern 'regular' Fender but I just liked this one so much I had to have it! I've found it quite hard to capture the colour of it under LED spots. I'd say the main body colour is a little bit creamier than it looks here whilst the tort guard is more red/orange (bit like an older 60's colour). It's been played, but not very much, and is in fabulous condition apart from a small scuff and a little pin-prick type ding in the lower bout. No idea how that ding got there but it's not very noticeable unless you're specifically looking for it. See pic for an idea of the size. I can't see any other marks anywhere but there may be some if it's held up to a harsh light. It plays really nicely with a fairly warm punchy tone. Certainly not as bright as some modern J's I've played. Neck is a classic J shape, rounded and smooth. I'd say it's more of a 60's profile than a super-slinky 70's type. Overall it just does what it should, easy to play, decent tonal variation and all the usual modern USA Fender trimmings - good quality tuners, solid bridge with through-body string option, warm pickups, smooth operating pots etc. Comes with a hard case & UK shipping included in the price. Can ship internationally at cost. Not looking for any trades on this one.

Custom made in Canada, offered for sale is a paisley 13 hole pickguard. I had this made to give my Precision bass a paisley vibe, as a way of curing my GAS for a paisley precision. It looked great and I did a few shows with it, before opting for a more traditional vibe.
