Selling my 2001 Musicman Stingray5. Amazing sounding bass, a few dings & chips from gigs but easily one of the best sounding SR5’s I have owned. The white has aged nicely into a creamy white colour. It’s just back from a full overhaul by my guitar tech including - Deep clean • Fretboard restoration • Neck de-gloss • Fret level crown and polish • Electronics inspection • full multi-step setup Totalling - £325 Comes with original MM case, case candy & white pick guard. 2002 Pedulla MVP4 in charcoal AA flame with original Bartolini soapbar pickups and ebony fretboard. I bought this from Mansons guitar shop in Exeter in 2004 and despite being well used since then it’s in great condition- the neck is as straight as the day it was made and it plays perfectly. Comes with the owners manual, original Pedulla branded hard case (which is a little worse for wear) and a truss rod adjustment tool (not original) which I think I’ve had to use three times in the last 20 years. One pot has been professionally replaced but I have the original if you want it. Super low action and thin neck but this thing has a huge beefy sound. Some minor cosmetic scratches and so on which I’ve tried to show but most would probably buff out. About 10 years ago a small section of lacquer started to separate from the edge of the fretboard, again could be fixed if you want something immaculate. An awesome bass but I have too many and it’s not getting enough use. You don’t see many of these up for sale and are only going to go up in value over time now that Mike Pedulla has retired. I bought this at the beginning of 2024 then promptly quit playing 😂 I had it stored in a cupboard and only remembered about it towards the end of last year so got it out and used it for a couple of the Christmas gigs. It's a U serial number which could be 1996 or 2010 but I think that it's more likely to be 2010. From memory it features an ash body, maple neck with rosewood board & block inlays and US pickups. Before I used it I gave it a full set up including adjusting the truss rod so everything is working as it should. It comes with 2 gig old Hybrid Slinkies. Its in pretty good condition for a 15 year old bass with a few light scratches here and there - the worst ding is pictured but right at the edge of the body so difficult to see. It comes with it's original standard issue Fender Japan gig bag. IT also comes with the bridge cover fitted but never had a pickup cover with it when I bought it. It sounds incredible and I am only selling it as I have far too many basses so am aiming to get down to 2 - a main bass and a backup. I can't remember what I paid for it and am having trouble finding sold examples of this so have started it at £1100 but am open to offers. I have the original packaging for this so can post it. The weight is coming in at a reasonable 9.8lbs using the on and off the scales method so it's no lightweight nor is it a boat anchor. I prefer payment by bank transfer and have done this many times with other members on the forum as a buyer and as a seller. If you are too far away to collect then I am happy for you to arrange a courier to collect it.

*** ON HOLD *** I purchased this Fender Precision Thinline PBAC from BC stalwart @Happy Jack on the 18th July last year. It's a beautiful thing, sounds amazing, but, unfortunately, the old long scale bass aches are back so I am returning to my short scale basses. It breaks my heart to let this go as I'd been waiting for one to come up for years, but, as I said, I just can't handle long scales anymore, I just need to finally give them up altogether. It is a glorious bass, its character and charm enhanced by a selection of (purely cosmetic) dings and marks wholly commensurate with its age. It's been played about four times at home rehearsals since I bought it. Please bear in mind that these are unusual basses that usually sell for between £1100-£1500 second hand. Bass is located in Southend, happy to meet somewhere to hand over or drive to you (I like driving, try me). The bass went straight to Guitar Technical Services for a Pro Set-Up as soon as I bought it, not that it needed it really, I just always do it. So much for my 2026 Basschat / internet hiatus - I’m briefly back just to sell this bass. This is a really reluctant sale, I’m gutted. Nerve damage issues means I’m having to finally give up the struggle with how a Jazz Bass sits for me. It's an outstanding bass - the neck feels beautifully played in and natural, it balances great, and sounds stunning. I've loved recording with it at home, this bass will be genuinely missed. It has the slim C shape neck, not the fat U shape which some other ‘64s seem to have. Made in late 2008 for release in 2009, this is 1 of 30 made in relic (also 30 NOS were made). The full spec is below. The original pickguard is the white one, the tortoiseshell is from a Road Worn Fender Flea, the bass comes with both. The tone pot is a CTS replacement. All else is original. Comes with the original hard case, certificate, and metal covers. There is a tiny indent behind the 1st fret (in photo) but it's massively unlikely your thumb will be anywhere near that high up the neck. As far as I can tell, and know, all other marks are from the relic vibe. For sale is this awesome Pink Paisley telecaster bass by Docwood. Nut width is 40mm (reshaped Fender neck), the whole neck feel is a lot less beefy than usually with this kind of basses. The pickup is a high quality Kloppmann. I got this bass a short while ago. It sounds terrific with a lot of authority, but I can't get used to the slab body it seems. The bass weighs 4,2kg with the covers mounted. So around 4kg with covers off. Comes with tolex hardcase. Asking back what I paid: €1350 without case or €1400 with tolex case included. I am located in the Netherlands, but happy to ship if needed.

Stunning USA G&L L2000 up for grabs, which judging by the play wear, was made around 1952 😄 As with all older G&L instruments, the build quality is fantastic and it feels very substantial despite being fairly lightweight at just under 9lbs. The neck is amazing, it's easy to understand why it's seen so much gig action in its life. Despite the worn appearance it feels great with no serious damage, and the frets are in good shape. It features the K Mod switch which allows, series, parallel and single coil pickup settings, as well as a switch for passive, active and active with treble boost modes. It's such an iconic and versatile instrument, sadly no longer in production. Collection from Margate preferred. I don't have a case for this bass but do have some decent packaging if you'd like to arrange your own courier.

Hi guys. Here it is, my 74 fender jazz. Incredible sounding bass and the easiest bass I've ever played. Let's start with the neck. As most of your are aware, 74 was the first year they did the maple/pearl block inlays. And I think the last year before going to 3 bolt necks. What makes this one so damn good as that it was made by herb gastelum the neck guru of fender for 52 years! The neck is stamped herb g. It has had a brass nut installed at some point in its career. The body is sunburst as you can see with the usual dings you'd expect from a 52 year old bass. Stamped H Ferry who was another well known fender employee. It has had a modification back in the day, someone cut out for a bigger pickup to the neck position. This sits behind the pick guard and has not changed tone in anyway. The bridge has been upgraded to a baddass 2. This looks like a very old modification and seems quite common with older fenders. The pickups have been changed, I would say sadly, but these sound unbelievable so although not original it is the sweetest fender I've ever heard, maybe sweetest bass ever heard! They are hand wound pickups made by Ben lindsay in the USA. From what I read he is considered one of the best winders? Completely silent, but sound amazing. Scratchplate doesn't seem to be original as I think they were black. But has some age to it. This has been a tough one to price as I think an all original 74 would be worth 3.5k or so. Ive put it up for what I feel is fair.

Yamaha BB424X in metallic red. The poly finish has cracked in a couple of places so it has what look like long hairline cracks. I've tried to show them best I can in the photos and hence the price. They're not all the way through into the wood, just on the poly finish on the top. All set up and good to go with round wounds. Frets are good and levelled, nut cut to right depth, fretboard lemon-oiled. Happy to post.

I’m reluctantly selling my Japanese fender P bass. This was purchased from Guitarzilla.co.uk exactly 5 years ago. It has been gigged many times (because bases shouldn’t be ornamental 😉) and has a few scuffs as part of its history - one noticeable (details and photos below) others just normal minor belt rash and dings. The reason I’m looking to move this on is to fund a second jazz bass and I have my eye on a couple on here. Details, to best of my ability: Fender Japan Precision Bass, Made in Japan, serial R019581 (serial at heel of neck). From what I can tell it’s early-2000s (possibly around 2003–2004). I seem to remember purchasing it as a 2004. Spec / details: Black body Black pickguard fitted + original white guard included Original Fender Japan pickups (no electronic mods) Genuine Fender High Mass Bridge fitted by me (clean install) Professionally set up last year by the sadly defunct super axes in Harrogate. One small cosmetic dink on the top of the body, approx 1.5-2cm, small belt scuffs on back (hard to photo) otherwise tidy. I have the original white pick guard that will be included. Oh, and look how sexy the pattern of the headstock wool is!!! 😍 Not sure of weight, and currently don’t have suitable scales. But if I get the chance I will find out and update. UPDATE - weighed it to best of my abilities. 3.8-3.9kg see below. Plays great, nice punchy P-bass tone with plenty of bite. A solid rock machine. I know everyone says stuff like this, but of all the P basses I’ve owned, I think this is my favourite. I’m just more comfortable with a Jazz. I’m not looking to post this bass, as there is no case, I don’t have a box, and I’m nervy about that stuff. However, happy to arrange tryouts, collections and willing to drive 1 hour from HG to meet up or deliver. Trade wise I am looking for a 4-string Jazz with maple fret board and block inlays in natural finish. Very specific, I know. But have always wanted that aesthetic since I’ve been in short pants. Some chips but nothing major Pointy headed goodness It’s the first bass I’ve ever had that just ‘hangs’ right. No reaching with my left hand. Right hand placement is just ‘right’. I’m only selling as I’m going to have major difficulty paying my mortgage and bills and I’m not in a band, so it’s this and an improved (bridge, pickups) Squier VM Jaguar V.
