F Bass BN5 Deluxe in near mint condition. I'm reluctantly selling this incredible instrument, custom made for me and delivered this year. Reason for sale is that I'm a bit of a vintage bass kinda guy and I can't quite get the sound in my head from this instrument. If you watch my demo video you will see that it looks spectacular and is built to the very highest standard. The range of tones is frankly amazing and i really enjoy the modern and focused neck position tones. There is a 3 band EQ plus a passive tone control which is super useful for taming the highs in a very natural way. Additionally, each pickup can be configured to single-coil, series or parallel with the flick of a switch giving 9 variations of tone. Finally there is a volume control for each pickup. The pickups feature exposed pole pieces and ebony veneer. Very small blemish below the 'mids' pot as illustrated... I got this tone monster in Philadelphia 2004 and started using it as my main bass up until the end of 2006. I used it for recording Morrissey - Ringleader of the tormentors (singles and b-sides) in Rome where Tony Visconti (who produced the album) kindly signed it. Also used for the live at Earls Court album and many videos and tv appearances. It plays and sounds fantastic! All original except the thumb rest which I added and is from an early 60’s p-bass, tone knob is missing. Plenty of life left in the original frets, straight neck and truss rod turns and original solder on the wiring. Lots of lacquer checking, chips and dings but no cracks, breaks or repairs. I don’t have an original case but can supply a later fender hard case. Lovely lovely Jazz, just need the space and the cash... bought from Bassdirect and some of the pics (the better ones) are theirs. Has had replacement Nordstrand pickups and previously had another pickup fitted near the neck which has been professionally filled and is under the scratchplate so can't be seen. Finish is all original and all other parts are original as well, to my knowledge, except the scratchplate. Has a basic hardcase. *Withdrawn* * Price drop - now £850!!!!! * Update July 2023 - Trade for JMJ Mustang preferably blue. The clear out continues - Very nice 2007 USA Jazz in stunning Blizzard Pearl up for grabs. Plays like a dream, sounds like a Jazz. Very nice modern C neck, no fret wear, very clean overall (hardly played) but has one small dink in the top edge (see pics). Weighs in at a very comfortable 3.75 Kg *Edit* (weighed it on a more accurate set of scales and it’s actually 4.2kg.*)on the bathroom scales. Price includes the case, which includes the case candy - Truss rod tool, 2 hex keys, case key, manual, hang tag and Fender strap with strap locks. Collection only from North London N21 with this one please, but I can offer tea, biscuits and bass related conversation whilst you demo it!

Sold elsewhere I bought this from @Beedster and it is a beautiful thing but sadly it’s not getting enough love here, short scale doesn’t fit my hands or ability😂. Build and relic work by @d_g and it’s truly sublime ( he has since refinished my Lakland bass). It started life as a Squier Classic Vibe Mustang. Since then it's had the following modifications: - Nordsrand NM4 Pickup - Hipshot Lollipop tuners - Neck and body fully stripped - Luminlay side dots installed - Body refinished in seafoam green over two colour sunburst - all in nitro and done a few months ago so it will continue to wear as it's played - Heavy relic finish with lots of checking - Neck refinished in tinted nitro with matching seafoam headstock - Back of neck nitro worn back down, tinted and left with a super smooth satin finish - Gold Fender decal applied - Fender Rosewood Thumb rest added - All hardware reliced - New parchment pickguard with subtle relic - Squier neckplate replaced with plain relic one original thread here with more info and pics Happy to ship in a Hardcase within the U.K. with DPD etc for £20 or my man with a van at £65. Seeing as my other precision isn't selling, I'll see if there is any interest in this! Status Graphite Jazz bass neck on an alder body, finished in nitro with light relicing. This is actually ocean turquoise metallic but made to look like an aged lake placid blue. I wanted it to look like a bass Matt Osman played in the 90s, I believe he was pictured with it in an advert for Elites and it looked amazing. This is a pretty close replica. Body was made and finished by a company called red dot customs, don't know if they're still going. Has modern Fender 62 P-bass pickup, and all the other hardware is Fender apart from the tuners which are Schaller. I only used this in the studio so never got round to fitting strap buttons. Jack socket is a tight fit but means that your cable won't get loose! I think the relative tightness can be adjusted but never bothered me. Neck is lovely, and frets are in very good condition. Pickup greatly preferred but could also meet within reasonable distance. So recently I bought this '78 jazz and an '83 at the same time to try and see which I preferred after some long term testing rather than an hour in a shop. The '83 needed a ton of work, which I spent the time doing and subsequently I've just bonded with that one a bit more so selling this killer 1978 jazz. Now if you're wanting a factory pure 1978, this isn't the one for you, but if you want a vintage jazz you can take out on stage or to the studio rather than living under the bed, this is probably what you've been looking for! The pros: Ash body, RW bound board with blocks and a lovely straight neck with fully functioning truss rod, low action and great sound. Not a razor thin neck, more of a mid-70s U shape front to back. When it was refinished, it was given a matching headstock with gold 70s period correct font logo. Looks awesome and it's always the first thing people comment on. Tuners are original. Lovely, rich neck pickup tone (very p bass esque) and excellent, bright late 70s bridge tone as to be expected from the pickup placement. A really versatile vintage workhorse (one of the reasons I wanted it). The 'cons' It was refinished a long time ago but the good news is the finish is aging nicely as has sunken into the grain, much like an original finish would have so looks good and means you can get it cheaper! The previous owner had the neck and pickguard on another bass whilst the body was getting refinished, and they trimmed down the original guard. I still have it and it retains the serial number but looks stupid because they've trimmed it 🙄 Now it has a replacement tort guard, which fits perfectly and looks killer. Original guard obviously included. It's got a badass ii bridge on it, which obviously isn't original to the bass but plays well and obviously adds some mass to the bridge. The pots have been changed out for some high quality replacements, pickups seem original to me but no guarantee on that. I'm not really looking for trades ATM but if you have something trade value around £2k you can always send me an offer and see what I say. I am willing to post, but would want the buyer to be sure this is the bass they want first and understand it's none-original. Comes in a gator hardcase just for shipping/storage, wouldn't use it day-to-day as the handle is broken but the case does its job.

SOLD The clear out continues! I listed these a couple of years ago and got cold feet, but having had them sit there since unused they need to go! Here are a matched pair of the remarkable Barefaced ONE10 speakers bought from this forum a few years ago. These were a special order from Barefaced using a *edit for clarity* - special hard wearing paint designed for high end PA cabs instead of the usual tolex. This was to avoid the tolex peeling off which the standard version of these cabs are so susceptible to. - I've tried to capture it in the pics. These also have the funky retro silver grill cloth. These are virtually mint as they have seen about 5 gigs in the few years I've owned them. They come supplied with the Barefaced soft covers too also in as new condition. Not looking to split at this stage - Priced to sell at £650 a huge saving on the current price - £549 each w/ covers. I'm in two minds about this but my wonderful Eastman guitar just isn't getting the use it deserves. Exceptionally well built, and plays great. The Lollar P90s sound amazing and are really responsive. It's the Antique Classic finish which looks lovely. It hasn't been gigged and has been well looked after. Comes with a top quality case too. £1,050. Collection from Beccles, Suffolk much preferred, but I can possibly post if required.
