Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 plus Aguilar carry bag - Now at a *bargain* £450 Still available.....! In great condition, never been pushed - seems to be a lot louder than 500 to be honest. Zip on bag is a bit temperamental but is all still in good condition. Fancy a bit of a change so looking to move it on. The clear out continues and reluctantly I'm putting this Beauty up for sale. This is the all valve small brother to the classic SVT, I believe it a 1976 Magnavox era model. It pumps out 100W of you favourite all valve Ampeg goodness. I bought this some years ago for a series of recording sessions I was doing with a Prog band and it performed its job admirably. Subsequently I used it for one gig (Where our sound man said it was his favourite bass sound ever!) and then decided that rather than fund my osteopaths retirement I'd leave it at home. There it has sat since sadly. The guy I bought it from told me that it had been recently re valved and that the transformer had been changed to a comparable UK (240V) unit. This means you can plug it straight into UK mains without the need for a step down transformer. Overall it look a bit tatty, but I think that just adds to the charm of an amp like this. As an added bonus, it come with a full (butter dish style) flightcase. I paid £750 for it some years ago so I'm looking to recoup that. £1500 / EUR 1700 The codes on pickups and pots match with the serial and dates it to 1978. In 40 years it has seen a lot of playing and gigging, but most of the thick black poly finish is still on. The neck is straight, the bullet trussrod works fine, the back of the neck is perfect. It´s possible to adjust it to a real low action if that´s what you need. Luckily he kept the original parts, so after I bought the bass I put back in the grey bobbin PUs including all original pots and wiring, so the bass is in original condition again except for a set of Schaller security end pins. The sound of this bass is rich, the heavy body with maple neck gives a lot of high end together with a solid fat tone. A perfect weapon for studio work! It weighs more than 5 kg, typical for the late 70´s Fender ash bodys. I´m located in Berlin, Germany. Pickup is welcome, shipping is possible to the expense of the buyer. No trades please.

Darkglass Microtubes 900. Very good condition. Boxed with foot switch, power cable, signed letter and manual. One very small mark underneath the head, otherwise mint. I bought this on a whim really. It is a little too complicated for my needs. Collection preferred from East Yorkshire but may meet up if not too far (20 miles or so) I have seen a Fender CS P bass I want to buy so I have reduced the price on the amp. £625 collected Now on E bay too. I'm surprised this hasn't sold, though I see that there has been lots of interest. Wal are boutique basses but they do seem to produce a lot that look alike. I had one with the Padua facings which was pretty much indistinguishable from many of the others I've seen. For £6K+ I would have thought that you'd would want something that's "a bit different". This is only one, or possibly two, that I've seen with the Olive Ash facings, so not only do you get the unique Wal tone you get a "fairly unique", definitely very rarely seen, Bass. I would have thought that would be owners would be diving in to rip it out of your hands especially as those seen on eBay are generally much higher priced. I don't get it!!

Cool, this was the bass I used when I just started playing, I used it in a RATM cover band and a heavy rock band, and it absolutely nailed those heavy in your face tones I needed for those bands. I've now moved on to Warwick and hi-end Jazz basses, but this is still a lot of bass for the money especially if you're into harder styles of music, have a free bump on me.
