Just seen something I want on this very forum, and it needs funds! What's good: Overwater-designed pickups, clean and clear electronics. What's not so good: A joint project with the overseas build managed by Tanglewood, who took it back (I bought it new) to rewire the pickups so they were in phase and did a fret dress. It's not light at 4.5kg ( I will double check if asked). The body finish is rather nice and still in very good order.

This is a lovely example of a Fender Japan Precision. It’s the 70s reissue model dating from 2004-05. Alder body, Maple neck and dark rosewood fretboard. I’ve seen the colour described as Sonic Blue, Daphne Blue and Seafoam Green - it’s definitely blue! This is a non-export model for the domestic Japanese market. It has a Seymour Duncan SPB1 pickup installed which came with the bass. I don’t have the original pickup unfortunately. It’s in great overall condition apart from some belt buckle marks on the tummy cut. I’ve tried to photograph these - none of them go through the finish. The frets are in excellent condition - I had the frets looked at by Feline Guitars in Croydon who levelled and polished them. The bass comes in a tweed Warwick Rockcase. Thanks for looking. For sale is my recently acquired Maruszczyk Elwood Absolution 4 string bass. It’s a lovely instrument which weighs in just over 9lbs. As you will no doubt already know these basses are ridiculously well specified. In this case the bass has an alder body, flamed maple top, a flamed maple neck, an ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlays and an exquisite pearl binding around the neck and body. Electronics wise I believe the circuit is Maruszczyk’s own two band with a push pull active/passive control and the pickups are Delano single coils. This bass does the jazz bass on steroids thing very well and has a excellent level of build quality. As you would imagine for a bass which is practically new the condition is excellent with the exception of some tiny scratches in the lower cutaway which I have only just noticed owing to the deep black shiny finish. I have tried to photograph this as best as I can manage. Other that this the bass is immaculate. A well padded Maruszczyk gig bag is provided. I would much prefer to meet up with any prospective buyer in person although shipping can be arranged if necessary and by prior arrangement and discussion. Hi all, having a bit of a clearout as I have way too many basses and guitars. Please check out my other threads: Basses - Sandberg TT5 - 1978 Fender Precision - 1972 Fender Jazz Guitars - G&L ASAT Tribute - Palm Bay Cyclone Custom This is a 1987 Warwick Streamer Stage One. What to say about this bass... if you know your Warwicks then you'll know this is a rare beast, I've only seen maybe one more left handed ones of these in all my years. Neck through, body is cherry and the neck is wenge. Pickups are EMG. This will be one of the first to get the newer Warwick bridge (after they changed from the one-piece style). Bass is in great condition for its age, plays great and sounds great. Some small scuffs and dings and slight discolouration around the pickup- all the stuff you'd expect. Electronics etc are all original. Neck is much slimmer than the modern Warwicks; if you don't like their chunky necks now then this will win you over. It's also light as hell! Couple of other things to mention. One is that the strap pins were moved at one point to help it balance better. Second is that the battery cover came loose at some point and the previous owner duct taped it back on. I've never removed the tape as I didn't want to cause any damage to the body by doing it (and it holds the battery cover on which is a plus). I actually love this bass, I just don't play it enough. I'd part for it for the right price but I'm more than happy keeping it if nobody wants to meet the price. I'm vaguely open to trades but it'd have to be something quite special or alternatively something that has more than one of my instruments in the trade. I'm looking to slim down the collection so cash is much preferred. I am open to postage but would prefer collection if possible. Please let me know any questions, happy to help

So I was asked by a mate of mine down in darkest Cork to source a Geddy Lee Jazz bass to take over with me when I travel this weekend and I found this corker (ahem). Anyhow, so did he, right on his doorstep and in his excitement he forgot to mention it until I had taken delivery of the Jazz. I want to move it on quickly as I don't really get on with Jazzes and having played this one briefly I am starting to want to keep it.... It's an early Mexican Geddy Lee from 2014 with the original Badass Bridge, not the Fender branded one. It comes with the Fender gigbag and all the tags etc. and is in excellent condition for an eight year old bass (especially a black one). It plays superbly and weighs in at just under 9lbs. Build quality is excellent and easily as good as any Japanese Geddy Lee I've seen (it weighs a lot less too). The body is alder for those of you inclined to ask. I am looking for £800 deliveted. No trades please.

1979 Musicman Stingray - £1550.00 Selling this beast which I bought from bass direct about a year ago for £1750.00. It's class but sees very little action as I play a P bass almost exclusively live. The Moses Graphite Neck is very comfortable, well fitted and plays like a Jazz neck in terms of the profile. Comes with a hard case and the original fitting plate for the neck and screws etc. I can send at the buyers expense if you like, or anyone is more than welcome to come and try it for themselves here in Middlesbrough.
