We have a winner.  BBM.

Here are my two - JV Squier and the Maruszczyk Jake 5 that I spec'd out to match.

Am I missing something here. Folk are posting pics if their own basses, do they think their own P basses look better than any P they've EVER seen?

I've owned some lovely looking P basses, but none compare to some I've seen on tinterweb! 🤔

Close - but not quite.

Your authentic 80s rock beast P requires cream DiMarzio Model Ps:

Apologies for the low resolution photo. This was for sale on Talkbass years ago and I could only screenshot from google images.

I need to buy a Harris wig and do this to it...

I had that exact colour combination on a USA P I sold a few years ago. God I miss it

I already loved the way this bass looked but I think the mirror scratchplate takes it up a level

As many pretty Ps as there are, I've always been a sucker for the mid 50's iteration...

...which goes some way to explaining these two. The black plates are more 70's and less cheery looking, but you can see where I was coming from!

Does the early 70's Tele II count?

But Dee Dee's were very cool, I must admit:
