Perfectly understandable. We're all different. I understand how gigging a lot can work for some and not others. I answer to no one and can sleep as late as I want. I'm single by design, as a matter of fact, I broke up with the last woman I dated because I knew she didn't get rock & roll or gigging. Our guitarists wife comes to every single gig with him, she's never missed a show in the 7 years I've been with the band. I asked her why; "Because I love watching my husband do something he loves" That's the kind of lady I need to meet. No woman is ever going to give me any type of grief about gigging. The money I earn from gigging means so much more to me than the salary I drew when I was a part of the traditional workforce. And I had a great paying career. I still feel that getting paid to have fun and do something you love is, well you can't beat it. Sure there's little inconveniences and every gig won't be great, but I still wouldn't trade away gigging for anything. I'm not important enough to hate any genre of music as long as it's professional and played well and I get paid to do it. I truly love this business and I love playing. BTW, sorry about the rant. In October of 1978 I saw Slade play the first night of six in a nightclub chain. Very little advertising and the bouncers were turning away fans who weren't dressed "smart but casual". Slade played to 19 punters in a 1000 capacity venue; the smallest crowd in their professional career. they still talk about it yet. When they came on Noddy Holder said "Jeeesus, did you all come on the same bus?"2 points

Ableton is fine for programming drums, however it's arguably not the best DAW for 'band/instrument' recording, it's way more geared towards electronic music (which it's amazing at). As such you may want to look at Garageband, or Logic (running in it's simplified mode......allows you to get more advanced when you're ready), as mentioned above, they both have very useable drum sequencers. Fun fact, although Logic's drum tracks appear as an audio wave at first, you can simply drag the part onto a spare soft-instrument track and it will show you the midi score......you could then apply any drum sounds soft-instrument (DFH, Tooktrak etc) on that track. Allows you to pull together drum grooves very easily, then apply your own preferred sounds to that groove. Si2 points

I find them an exceptional band. I know a lot of folk don't like JK, but he's a great front man & a great vocalist too. The bassline in this is fantabulous...2 points

It might be better to accept that than spend hours digging through the box mountain in the loft to find the certificate, and then when I've found it, some clever so-and-so will say I photoshopped it!2 points

If you're going to patronise people (that means "talk down to" for all you thickies out there ) then at least learn to spell pigeon.2 points

I would look at the Pedaltrain Nano/Metro series. They have a planner app on their site to help your work out which model will be the right fit. Then if you want a flexible power supply that will fit underneath then you'll be after a Cioks DC5 (sold by HotRox) or a Onespot CS6 (Andertons currently cheapest). For cables I would recommend a solderless kit like Evidence Audio SIS or Tightrope for their ultra low profile plugs and the ability to change lengths as your board evolves.2 points

The spark between musicians is where the magic lives. Playing without it is like being in a loveless marriage.2 points

The main price field cannot be changed once posted. This is to avoid people listing things for free then adding the price, or adding extra items to an existing advert. However, to reduce the price of a listed item, simply edit your first post and add some text to say the item is reduced. This can be at the top of the post for maximum visibility. You can also add it to the title of the thread. This way, users will see the original price but then also a reduced price in the post and/or thread title. The alternative, if you have a yearly subscription, is to post the ad again and tell us to delete the old one. In the future we may allow editing if the main price field but we can only do that once we modify the way free listings appear to stop the scammers. Hope that helps ped1 point

I really don't get the eye contact thing, the drummer we played with on Saturday said she really liked playing with us as we as a band, and I specifically, really communicate with her well on stage. It baffles me that you wouldn't want to, if the musicians aren't engaged with each other, is it not just like having a backing tape?1 point

It’s great, I no longer need worry about walking through doorways, or like just now walking along the aisle on the train.1 point

Fake. Wrong tuners, crappy transfer logo, pick guard wrong shape & too many screws, trussed hole wrong shape, no truss rod plug in headstock, body shape looks wrong (tho hard to tell from these crappy photos - could be lens distortion). And thats just for starters. Best avoid1 point

Les, we're not good at having rehearsals on adding new material. But even playing 4 hour gigs we have a lot of good material we can't fit into every show. Plus we have followers that want to hear the same songs we've been playing for years Blue1 point

As with most songs I listen primarily to the Basslines - on this count Jamiroquai hit the bulls eye time after time. I think all those who have played Bass in the band have brought something special to the music. I know that some are dismissive of JK but he does write some wicked lyrics...1 point

I'm dyslexic. And because my dyslexia can make written communication difficult for me to read on occasions, I do my very best to make sure that what I type is clear and legible. Occasionally my brain will run ahead of my fingers and I'll miss out words or put the wrong ones in when autocorrect collapses two half words in a new single one. You've probably all seen them in posts from me. It's also why I rarely post from my phone or iPad, because the typing interface on those devices is just too much hard work for me. I can read properly formatted text because I've trained myself to be able to do it. However when confronted with something like the OP my brain simply shuts down, and I have to move on. Luckily for me it is only occasionally a problem, and I've only had to block a few posters here and on other forums because everything they type sends my brain into meltdown trying to decipher it. The OP is not dyslexic. They are either too lazy or too stupid to take the time to try and communicate in a clear manner. And because they haven't done that, they have run into problems. I also feel sorry for anyone who has to try and unravel what has been written. I wouldn't want to deal with someone like that on eBay (or anywhere else) either. It only takes 10 minutes with a book or a decent quality newspaper, to realise that you do not format text like the OP has done, so why do people still persist in putting spaces before punctuation symbols, typing everything as a continuous stream of consciousness without breaking it up into neat paragraphs? If you can't take the time to make your post legible, I certainly can't take the time to try and work out what you are saying.1 point

I'm sitting here open-mouthed in disbelief at what I've just read. If you made that statement to deliberately be controversial and get a reaction, well OK, you got me. If you genuinely believe this, I'm afraid I don't have the time or the patience to get into precisely why what you posted is so wrong on so many levels, but I'm sure someone else will. Musicians are to blame? Really??1 point

Drilled the hole for the sidejack.... And with doing that created a serious repair job for myself. While the drill-bit was coming through a big chunk of wood broke out on the topside, luckily it was a clean break on the woodgrain, repaired it almost invisible, you can still see some very thin lines where the breakout was - these lines are primarily how the light breaks on the thick polyurethane top-coating, I cant feel them. After this repair I mounted the bridge and neck to check how the pickups aligned with the strings... judge for yourself.1 point

Aligned the tuners (and removed the stickers). Before: after: No filling and drilling, there was just enough space to move the tuners around in a aligned position after loosening the screws. Routed the cavities for the pickups in the body.1 point

Another update: The old J humbucker was seriously microphonic which made me decide to replace it. I replaced it with a DiMarzio DP148. Experienced some problems with the wiring while replacing the old pickup, it also took a while to adjust the two pickups to get an even sound from both together. In the end I'm glad I did replace this pickup, the new one sounds better and is dead quiet, no microphonic noise and no hum.1 point

Some final finished product photo's. The big picture: And a few detail shots:1 point

Built in and wired. going to check it more serious tonight, during quick & dirty testing I noticed the pickups were influencing each others volume, probably need to solder in some resistors, also need to take a better listen to the phase of the Jazz pickup.1 point
