Your most listened-to live album?

Recommended Posts

What is your most listened-to live album?

Mine has got to be Rush's A Show Of Hands.  Been listening to that baby since I was about 19, and it's still a regular now, decades later.

Honourable mentions:

Iron Maiden - Live After Death - played through 2 cassette copies of that in my youth, but I haven't played it regularly in years.

Scorpions - Worldwide Live - Still an occasional listen....

All Those Wasted Years - Hanoi Rocks, in 1986 I think I must have played that tape - yes tape - every day, or at least near it. I now have it on CD and it just takes me back to the happiest time of my life listening to it.

Genesis - Seconds Out

Be Bop Deluxe - Live in the Air Age.

Bought both of these when they first came out ( late '70s ) , and listened to them regualrly ever since.

Blew the equivalent of 30 pints of beer* on Yessongs while at uni, probably because of the cool artwork. I don't think I ever listened to it all the way through more than once, and probably never played any of the 3 LPs more than 4 or 5 times in total. Held a grudge against Yes ever since.

*Beer was 33p a pint in our Loughborough local, so a £10 triple album was 30 pints worth.  Over £100 for 30 pints now.

Ramones - It’s Alive

Good call.

Possibly sacrilegiously I prefer Loco Live.

It's a better recording, it covers more of their back catalogue and the Ramones sound like they did the one time I was fortunate enough to see them live in around 1993.
