Rich West contacted me earlier, I've noted it in the diary and will take a look nearer the time. Sadly, I can't commit this far out due to ever-changing situations regarding some family health issues. But I'll have a look at it nearer the time. Is it just a case of attending or would people be interested in some sort of presentation/chat? Not sure what I have to offer that people would find useful - or have I misread that? Mike 1 1 Quote

Someone like Danny Sapko would be an interesting addition, and Andertons is very close... Might Dan Veall be free and willing? He’s one of the more sensible and authoritative bass ‘Toobers’… 1 Quote

We had a friend of Nicks do that some years ago and it went down well. Rats, he’s gigging oop north with DS:UK all weekend. Quote

Sean Posted Thursday at 14:53 Posted Thursday at 14:53 (edited) I've mailed teh pickup contact to see if he's interested in attending either/both the SE and SW bashes and doing some pickup-related talk or tech comparison for us. I'll update when I get a response. Fingers crossed. ATB Sean Edited Thursday at 14:53 by Sean Quote

Mike Yep - you've misread that, Mike. You'd bring stories, wisdom, cool insights - and that's just for starters! Then there's the playing, basses, etc, etc. Would be great to see you if family /work circumstances permit. 👍😊 All the best, Nik 1 Quote

Wolverinebass Posted Friday at 20:27 Posted Friday at 20:27 I'm sure we have enough knowledge that should named guests be too busy elsewhere we could rustle up a few interesting bits? After all, how many people on the forum have loads of niche knowledge? For example, a few years ago @TrevorR did a talk on Wal basses. Aside from Paul Herman is there anyone who knows more about them than him? @cetera could do something on Spectors. After all, he owns most of them in circulation anyway. @stevie could show off the design of his Lfsys cabs. @prowla and Rickenbackers. Again, does anyone know more about them? Just examples really off the top of my head really. If you were wanting stand up comedy, I could do something on how I felt cheated in 2002 that I didn't get the bass slot in The Who. 3 Quote

Mudpup Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Reckon I'll mosey on down..... I'll bring my Spector Pulse 2 with the LHZ preamp, a Warwick Proline custom, an LFSys Monaco cab and a couple of amps (a choice between a Bugera Veyron, Quilter BB800, Mesa Big Block or an Orange 4 Stroke - if anyone would like to have a bash on something let me know your preference) 3 Quote
BillyBass Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Just to confirm, I will be coming. I'll bring a Reverend Triad 4 string and a Reverend Mercalli 5, with a GK & Barefaced rig. Quote

Was about to say "saves me taking a bass" but then I remembered that my Triad 4 has a 10 way switch, so I guess you (and others) might be interested in that so I had better bring it. 2 Quote
pete.young Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I won't be able to make this, Remembrance Sunday is always busy for brass bands. Have a good time. Quote
