  1. Past hour
  2. Sorry, I've just read my question back. Just to clarify, I already have a non-lite so I was looking for one of the same. It's black but I still would be interested in the cab only, if you are willing to split it up. Thanks.
  3. Fantastic Di, looking forward to gigging mine at the weekend!
  4. I like this idea. It's like a less dangerous, less aggressive, less likely to take chunks out of your bass while trying to remove a couple of fingers version of a router. Could be slow if a lot of wood needs removing but sharp chisel first to nearly the right place, then finish off with the drum sander equipped drill.
  5. My funeral plan allows for four tracks, which are: Entrance: Surrender To The Rhythm- Brinsley Schwarz Reflection: New Town Velocity - Johnny Marr Photo montage: I'll Feel A Whole Better When Yoùre Gone - The Byrds Leaving: C'mon Feel The Noize - Slade
  6. sounds like a bit of a slacker, are you sure he’s committed to the band 🤣 Got to be done 😁 I’ve planned operations around gigs and tried to get back maybe too soon but I can’t let go 🤪
  7. Stuff that the congregation know (so that you won't be singing solo, but instead, starting the congregation off with something that they respond well to). Stuff that you can play easily (no hymns with a chord change on every beat!) Stuff that speaks to you (so that if nobody else joins in, you are still praising alone). Stuff in your preferred key (so that you are not struggling) Bit of reverb, bass up a bit, and all that remains is to select the songs..
  8. Our Worship Team is so low on bodies nowadays, that there’s one Sunday coming up soon where I’m the only person down to play. I’m going to embrace this moment and play a solo acoustic set, just me singing and playing acoustic guitar….I’ve got some songs in mind but, what songs would you play?
  9. Am I right assuming you mean are they the lite cabs or regular? They are not the Lite version
  10. I'll be there, subject to gigging commitments. Last year was the first one I'd missed for a while.
  11. Today
  12. Public Service Announcement had a show at the iconic Hope and Anchor in Islington last night. A drive through London in rush hour traffic certainly wasn't something I was looking forward to, but it was actually a surprisingly smooth journey and parking was easy. Hope and Anchor has played host to some amazing bands such as The Damned (where the New Rose video was filmed) and The Stranglers. Ironically, both bands are playing this weekend at the Stone Valley Festival, which meant a fair number of our target market were unavailable. Baring that in mind, it was a decent turn out, including former England footballer Stuart Pearce. The band played very well, were very well received and shifted a good amount of merch. All in all a very enjoyable evening.
  13. Drugs. Probably really dodgy acid. It's the only explanation that makes any sort of sense.
  14. Hi all Up for sale is a beautiful handmade Everson Caiman T4. This very bass was reviewed by Bass magazine, I'll include the magazine in the sale It's handbuild in the UK by Paul Everson, The body is Honduran mahogany with macassar ebony top, 3 piece walnut/maple neck, ebony fretboard, 24 frets (plus zero fret), Tesla single coil & humbucker with custom ebony covers, EMG 3EQ, Hipshot USA bridge and tuners. The condition is like new 9.5 /10, set is low action, it sounds and plays fantastic This is the lightest bass I've ever played at only 3.0kg / 6.6lbs ! I bought this bass some years ago when I was looking for a light bass after regular gigging left me with a painful left shoulder. Bandmates were often surprised to find my bass was lighter than their guitars... It comes with a padded case, as pictured I'm asking £1100.00, which is what I paid for it Thanks for reading
  15. I often have to explain the meaning of some lyrics to our singer. He's great, but he just doesn't get into what the lyrics are about, the stories in the songs, etc. I accept it's just the way some people are, but they're missing a whole new world IMO.
  16. Miracle of modern science, here’s hoping your rhythm guitarist is good for Friday…. and beyond!
  17. This has got a nice feeling neck - it’s got some heft to it - I played the JMJ and I prefer this neck - but I put Alnico 5 pups in this to get the bite the JMJ has - but no worries a JMJ is a good bass - though I think this is better but short scale isn’t for me hence sale
  18. New pedal - has led lights and multi functions to sculpt compression
  19. I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date... Flying craft and missiles are the order of the day for mankind yet again as we find ourselves fighting on the edges of space and time. When will we ever learn? Hopefully, I've tapped into a vague Hawkwind vibe both lyrically and musically which, in my book, can only be a good thing. Lyrics hidden below. Westfield Les Paul copy, Westfield P-Bass copy (I like Westfields 😁, Vivlex delay pedal, MT Drums, Apogee+ mic. Most of it through a Roland Cube and recorded in time-honoured fashion with Wavepad, Audacity and Ableton.
  20. It wouldn’t bother me if: 1 - the bass played and sounded great 2 - more importantly I knew about it before the purchase. I’d be a bit miffed to find out about it months down the line.
  21. We should have been at our favourite venue last night but… our rhythm guitarist had a heart attack two days before. He had a stent fitted and was sent home yesterday and is convinced he will be able to play next Friday.
  22. I saw them support WASP in Brum a lifetime ago. They wiped the floor with them. I was on their mailing list for years and was the happy recipient of stickers, photographs, Christmas cards and even an old demo tape. They were great and terrific fun to see live. When Rocky yelled "I wanna lick custard off your nipples!" during "C0ck Rock Shock," I laughed so hard, I hurt myself a bit. I loved Wrathchild.
  23. My home studio rack and my gigging rack (3u) which isn’t normally there but I record a lot with the TC 1140HS pre. I used it so much I’ve actually sold the Ged 2112 and replaced it with a second 1140 permanently in the recording rack.
