In:

Balaguer Select series Goliath HH bass

Cali 76

Jam Pedals Tube Screamer overdrive

MXR vintage Octave

Ashdown RM800

In then out again:

Electro Harmonix Pitchfork+

Quite modest spending compared to 2020 but I think I'll have to do a pedal clear out in the new year.

In;

Galli Synthesis flats.... tone changing strings indeed!

Aguilar Octamizer... a smooth to growly filter.

Seamoon Funk Machine... fuuunky!

Mr Black Fwonkbeta... juicy!

SGFX Supa Funk.... classic funk.

Out; not as much as in!

EHX Spectrum Analyser... a bonkers pedal that I'm sure someone with more talent than me can make use of.

Idiot box Blower.... a mental fuzz pedal. Too much for me but beautifully made and a sure fit for someone else.

In: De Gier Bebop 70s (used) - needed unexpected work when I got it (if you were the previous owner,  what the heck were you up to, it was barely playable?!!) including dodgy pickup, serious setup and an area of body damage being much more significant than described, which took the initial shine off things. I could have returned it but persevered and am glad I did.  Possibly my favourite neck profile ever and plays and sounds truly superb now.

Thunderfunk TFB550. Was half looking for an amp, and am quite happy to live with the size for the sound this thing puts out- superb.

Out: G&L SB1 - tough decision as Id had it and gigged it on/off for the best part of 10 years,  but chopped it in for the De Gier, which is ultimately more "me" ergonomically. The new owner should be delighted,  it sounded truly exceptional with a band.

Maybe. Most of my purchases are made with the intention of selling again quite soon after. Let's call it 'prospecting'.

However - a couple of them have surprised me and are still here. Will they be in 3 months ? Depends, if something more desirable appears at a price I approve of, they may go. However I can't see myself selling the BB415.

Very nice!

You have to bring the Jazz 5 and the dragonfly to the next Midlands Bass Bash.  No excuses!

In: Bergantino CN212

Out: 2 x Begantino HD112s

Pretty much a straight swap really after I decided that I preferred a 212 cab to a couple of 112s. I did make a few quid surplus after selling the smaller cabs on commission at Bass Direct, but that was pretty much wiped out by the cost of the diesel to pick up the 212 from Essex.

Overall financially I think it isn't far out of balance. Which is handy, with only a few gigs!
