This is a good idea. Why not?

It's the modern way 👍

Because two wrongs don’t make a right

The evidence of this thread suggests that the number of "wrongs" is way past two.

To be fair, like all Youtubers, Sapko is an insufferable megabell. Whilst this may get "exposure" were he to pick it up, it’s still a fairly niche bass channel isn't it? Would it not just be the sort of people who frequent the forum who would check out a video he did anyway?

Danny’s highlighting of the Giaccamo Turra debacle went way beyond the bass community.

I agree with this too.

It may amplify things and stop someone else from getting ripped off.

I reckon there's a big difference between calling out other social media influencers on youtube as opposed to inserting yourself into a situation that involves alleged criminals, the police, lawyers and at least one ongoing court case.

I can't imagine he'd go anywhere near it.

The fellow who runs the YouTube channel in question is named 'Shaun Martin'. He has seven various social media and YouTube channels with links in his main profile channel.

It looks like he is some kind of digital creator/groupie who probably thinks Mick Mason is a celebrity. He's now certainly that!! :D

He has seven channels including YouTube and other Social Media platforms, and looks like he will interview anyone who has any kind of involvement in show business.

The seven links are next to his picture profile.

He comes across as naive and star struck (just my opinion, of course).

He's probably a very nice chap who just needs convincing the Mick Mason is a proper, full on, professional conman.

It wouldn't be the worst possible idea, you know?

According to courtserve.net, Michael Mason is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates Court tomorrow, 7th October. I'm presuming that's Mick.

Sadly I'd not imagine many/any folk would go along to court to show their disapproval of this con-man... and that is sadly part of the reason he has continued to get away with this.

The fact that it's at Magistrates rather than Crown Court suggests that , should he be found guilty, a serious prison sentence is probably not on the cards.

Not necessarily.  The case could be dealt with at Magistrates court but referred to Crown court for sentencing if the judge considered he didn't have enough oomph at his disposal.   We can live in hope.

I know Danny and he's a nice guy! Unfortunately, he's not a big lad and I can't imagine him wanting to get involved with anything potentially as serious as this.

It is one thing to get annoyed and call out a YouTuber over ripping other YouTubers off (and then to benefit from the resulting online publicity), it's quite another to get involved in a case going through the criminal courts in the country he lives in, with a guy who is a career criminal and who has been known to make physical threats!

He may very well be Pete. He may even be good with children and animals and  be a Blue Peter badge winner too. However, he has the whole "Youtube Persona" thing going on that I can't stand. So, by default, he's a megabell.

However, your point that he's not going to comment on anything going through the courts is exactly why anyone wouldn't get involved in this.

Mostly because it’s involve a trip to Leicester! These victims have suffered enough already…
