SamIAm

I had been concerned about Sam for some time and decided to see if the web could provide an answer. Unhappily so. It seems she has left us. The link is to a MacMillan tribute, so I guess we can assume how she passed.

How very sad.

Very sad news.... 😞

RIP Sam.

I’m very sad to hear about Sam’s passing. She was always the voice of reason and compassion. We exchanged a few messages and she seemed like such a genuinely lovely and caring person. Terrible news, and my thoughts go to her friends and family.

That is so sad, like so many I was chatting  via pm with Sam. She was going to build one of the first of the new BassChat 8" cabs. I have a kit of parts here packed and ready to go and was increasingly concerned when she suddenly stopped communicating. Now we know why. I'd like to think whatever happened was sudden and quick while she was still planning for the future with new builds and new adventures. She will be missed and she touched a lot of us it seems.

This is very sad news indeed. I remember the terrible time she had with the fire and how this community stepped in with help and support. Her commitment to nursing and also her technical abilities were notable. She was the same age as me so that really hits home. May she rest in peace. 🕊️

She'll be sadly missed. BC member O'BrienP (Pat) gave her a bass after the fire which I helped get down to her in Brighton as she'd lost everything.  She was a lovely and genuine person. Brother bought her sax too so we had quite a bit of contact but always seemed so happy to chat despite the traumas she was going through.

Very sad indeed. RIP Sam. X

Such desperately sad news. I had many a chats with Sam, going back to her S’manth days and all were extremely pleasant and friendly…. which seems exactly her all over. What a loss, taken far too early.

Exactly this. Never met her, but still miss her if that makes sense. 😢

Going back quite a long way, some of you might remember her... Mrs Tinman lost her fight with cancer at the end of June. :(

Oh no. I used to be friends on FaceBook with her (I left FB in the pandemic and never went back) and she was always a beacon of positivity and friendiness 😞 Sending belated condolences to her husband, very sad to read this

This may sound odd, but I've never been so upset to lose a friend I've never met in person. And she was a friend. Full of fun, mischief but also as @Clarky said, so very positive.

Pete and Terri were a fantastic couple. Their online banter between each other, on here, and FB has had me in stitches. And if you were going through a rough patch, even if she wasn't feeling her best, she'd make a point of sending a lovely message. I'll miss her.

You're in our thoughts @Tinman. Take care Pete.

RIP Terri

Yes, she was always so positive and upbeat. And their double-act was a proper laugh. Oh god, poor Pete. I can't begin to imagine how he must be feeling.
