1. Even though i'm not a fan of Sunburst (Despite having a Sunburst main bass) and rosewood fretboards, that thing is absolutely gorgeous. A tad out of my price range though. Liam
2. Not got a yammy myself, used to have a Yamaha keyboard, but i sold it to my drummer (Yes, my bands drummer does more than hit stuff, he can play notes too, and even some chords). Got massive gas for a TRB 5 or 6 though, thankfully i have the ultimate gas cure, which is no money. Liam
3. Maann.... If only i could afford Bergantino cabs, i'd love something like a NV610 for big gigs and 2 of these HD112's or HD210's for smaller ones. Liam
4. As the site is blocked at work, i'll be sure to get on and vote for you when i get home. Best of luck with the comp, i would love a Download slot. Liam
5. Theres a Mesa Boogie Bass 400+ for sale on here, much better than the Ampegs are in my opinion, and built like brick sh*thhouses. The Ashdown valve heads are top notch from all the reviews i have seen, and the BTA200 i hear a few years back sounded gorgeous, so that might be one to try. Liam
6. Although if the mods do state, such as in the forum description, that anything to do with it is off your own back, and that BC can't be held liable for anything, surely that would get around any issues like that, as its clearly stated that anything is off your back, not BC's. (Obviously i'm not a lawyer, so thats just a guess) Liam
7.
I'm in Manchester if you wanna give a EHX Bass Big Muff, or an old black russian Big Muff a go anytime...
I might take you up on that when i find some time soon, thanks for the offer. Anyone got anything else that they'd add to a small pop/rock board? Liam
8. I would definately go for a wireless, personally, the Line 6 Relay G90, although it isnt cheap, theres plenty of 1/2 rack wireless systems around though. Liam
9.
It all depends what genre of music you play. Although, at that price point, either an EHX bass big muff or a second hand Boss OC2 - depending on your needs.
Anything from really poppy stuff like Lady Gaga, to Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine etc.... But mostly Pop/Punk (Bowling For Soup, Good Charlotte, Sum 41 etc...) I have considered a Big Muff, but i'm not sure i'd need the crazy amounts of fuzz, although i do play Muse stuff, so its a possibilty. An OC-2 is on my list of pedals to get eventually though, along with an EHX Bass Micro Synth. Liam
10. Is the Rocktron Pre still around? If so, i may take it in a few weeks when i get paid. Got any sound samples? Liam
11. Finally be able to add to this thread in the next month or two. I'm thinking of making myself a little board up with so far, a Boss TU-2/3 and Tech 21 VT Deluxe. Anyone got any other reccomendations for things to throw on there, nothing too expensive (£50-£60 max for now, second hand) and not too big, i only want this to be a small board, despite having a huge pedal on there.... Thanks in advance, Liam
12. I quite like the look of this, although the chrome knobs do make it look a bit cheap, they should've stuck with the same ones as on the 30w modelThey also should have called it the Fat Bastard or Big Bastard. Wonder if they've done this because they released a bigger version of its sister amp, the Hayden MoFo 100, albeit that was released a while ago, but who knows. Liam
13.
Well of course he doesn't, he's the guitarist. His function, when off stage, is to drink booze, [s]and go on the pull[/s]. attempt, and miserably fail to pull.
Corrected. Liam
14. Got the feeling you might have put this in the wrong place mate. Liam
15. Works fine for me on both my home PC (Outdated Acer running XP and Firefox) and also my work laptop (Brand spanking new HP running IE9 through the schools proxy server) without problems. I do occasionally get huge delays of sometimes up to a few minutes, but that is due to my connection, as it happens on other sites. Liam
16. Welcome to the forum. I've always wanted to visit Norway, my friend went walking there last year, said it was well worth the trip. Liam
17. I love the Sadowsky, but the others are really not to my tastes, although i wouldnt mind having a play around on a Dingwall, just to see what its like. I quite like the fact that the harware kind of blends in to the wood as well, it wouldnt look right with chrome or gold in my opinion. Liam
18.
Found it, http://www.scottdixo...usic/cases.html Trying to get a custom case built for my Overwaters
Warwick (Who have been mentioned a lot in this thread actually) also do a similar case, and if the quality of my Warwick rack case (£42 Eco Line) is anything to go off, it should be quite good. Liam
19.
"Let's do 500 Miles for the encore, everyone loves it...." oh god!!

Holy crap! I would actually rather f*ck The Proclaimers than do that number.
Depends if you play it like this or not. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XWWXHu3Cxg Liam
20. Looks like an old Ibanez SR to me, but i doubt they were that expensive. Liam
21.
I also love how you can make just as much impact to the music by NOT playing as you can by playing, as the feeling of space that the bass leaves (or takes up!) is MASSIVE. Plus, you can make a huge difference to the music by playing so very little. That can be a bit hard to take when you start, but once you learn to enjoy it.... woah. The POWER of the bass!
Amen to that, i used to just play straight 8th notes (As can be heard on the recordings of my band listed below) with hardly any feel to it. Now i play a lot less than that, and i can really feel it better, and get more a groove going, which is always fun. As i've progressed i've also recently noticed that i subconciously lock with the kick drum, without even realising it. Back on topic, YES! Especially when using my Squier and Warwick through an Ampeg SVT-810e like i did a few months ago, such a sweeeeettt tone, not too harsh, just enough bass, and A LOT of punch. It felt like i was being hit by a train everytime i hit certain notes, such as my F (1 fret E string) which always seems really punchy. Liam
22. Also wanna throw my appreciation to the Basschat team, you've done one hell of a job, and still are doing. I kind of know how much hassle it is doing something like this, especially with a huge change happening too, as its just happened where i work (Apprentice IT Technician at a school) and we're still learning. Liam
23. I've got some old ones off a Squier that i will try reversing later for you, but i'm sure someone will chime in before i get chance to do that. Liam
24.
Hell yeah, she's talented, what a lovely voice! I've got Taylor Swift in my head when I hear her sing. Anyhoo, your link was broken but I found her page at http://soundcloud.com/jessicalaurensm (too good for people to not find her page).
Yeah i've fixed the broken link now, but thanks for pointing that out. I do think she is too good for people not to find it, one of my few friends who are INCREDIBLY talented. Liam
