A really nice sounding and easy to play Headless Jack Bass from 1991 having a PJ pickup arrangement and a bolt on neck which has the advantage of being able to be shimmed if the neck angle, or action is not to the players liking & they appear to be quite rare, or so I’m told in this version.
Passive version, so no batteries to worry about.
Fits into a standard six string guitar Gig Bag, or Case - not supplied, sorry.
Nut width is 38mm and the string spacing at the bridge is 19mm.
Action is low all the way up the 24 fret, double octave fingerboard.
There are various small marks / dings but nothing serious that affects the playability and far fewer than you would expect to see on a 30 + year old instrument & the Frets are in excellent condition.
The pickups have been replaced with Wilkinson Varigauss P & J pickups - the original pickups will be included in the sale.
Controls are Volume / Volume / Master Tone. The original pots and loom have been upgraded to an excellent Kiogon solderless connections jobbie, which includes a Switchcraft Barrel jack replacing the original that can be a weak spot on these Basses.
Weight is a shoulder friendly 7.95lbs and it has zero neck dive.
Tuning is via the original Licensed by Steinberger Bridge, the tuners turn freely & seems to keep it in tune ‘forever’ - ish.
Truss Rod is fully functional and does exactly what it is meant to do.
Californian Solid Maple body & neck with a beautifully figured Indian Rosewood fingerboard.
Collection preferred, but if you are too far away from sunny North Staffordshire, I can package it well for posting to the U.K. Mainland only - sorry, with postage at cost price to the buyer, which would be £15.00 via next day AM delivery.
