  2. How has this not sold? I love mine (trying not to think about buying this as a spare)
  3. Aw, thanks! The Inevitable Teaspoons are very grateful for your purchase 🥰
  4. Another request received through the website, this is the Étienne Mbappé bass part for the tune 'Djanea' from the 1989 Ultramarine album, 'Dé'. A monster part but, once you know what you are doing, its surprising how much you can achieve. That's what I love about reading. It shows you that its all possible, even this crazy s***. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/djanea-ultramarine/
  5. I hadn't been on BC for a while, but caught up on some stuff yesterday, including this thread. You guys inspired me to take my Sandberg out tonight, and what a joy it is to play! Hadn't gigged it for quite a while, but will try to more now. Definitely got plenty of thump and authority out of it, sounded absolutely monster! 😎👌❤️
  6. Ha. Yeah I did start to wear it pretty low which helped my right arm but absolutely destroyed my left shoulder! Can't seem to win!
  7. This ^^^ I've owned a couple of 12's and the Musicvox I had was reversed... it was truly awkward/uncomfortable to play.
  8. Yesterday was the latest Bandcamp Friday. Did anyone buy anything? Let's see your purchases, mine are below. I think 80% of these are from this forum. Mark
  9. I made the mistake of gigging it this afternoon - it was immense.. 🤣 Whoever finally gets this lovely amp will not be disappointed..
  10. I think my 400SMX sounds better than my 300SMX - only by a hair but there's something about it that just 'breathes' in a slightly more natural way.. Hope you get to the bottom of what it is - very cool. 👍
  11. It's a bass cab. Doesn't matter what it looks like.
  12. First gig with this tonight The Policed It sounds amazing and a great crowd Couldn't be happier
  13. Today
  14. GOOD LORD SIR!!!! 😍 That's a stunning bass! Congratulations.
  15. Nah...tried that in the past. Didn't work for me.
  16. just for clarity there is nothing really musical in this short! but the Sun Swallower is killer
  17. Find an offcut of old mains wire. Remove some 6" lengths of the thick copper wire. These can be soldered temporarily to the end of pickup etc. wires to aid threading them through awkward holes/spaces.
  18. According to my Vernier it's 44.4mm.
  19. Photo dump of the case! I like the fact that you can travel with the body inside a soft bag, which protects it in transit, but then also that comes in very handy when you get to destination: you can rebuild the bass in the hotel and go to gigs on the soft bag as you normally would. the neck is kept in place by a foam recess built in the lid and the case has wheels, a retractable handle and very sturdy handles on the long sides too. A great job!
  20. Dangerous to go round before the gig? 🤣😵‍💫
  21. Change the bass tone so it cuts through. it's all about working together. Not all bass players are even capable of holding the low end down so I don’t agree the keyboard player must only use certain parts of the keyboard. Ive seen band with awfully muddy bass tones that ruin the whole mix and you cant hear the music clearly. If it's a piano part then the bass needs to remember that a piano is played with two hands and work with the keyboard player. I agree that a keyboard player should not be playing the bass part as such, but the low end can be multiple instruments and not just bass. Band's have had keys and bass in them for years, Look at Elton John/Billy Joel etc for example. All over the keyboard, but does the bass player not get heard?
  22. Should fit fine. Be aware Fender do not do final fret finishing on their spare parts so you might have to do that. But that’s the same with every supplier.

    Sean's Feedback

Bought a two 10 barfaced cab in a rather fetching shade of green from Sean. Met up in Somerset for an easy transaction, now giving my other two 10 a boost.
