Excellent concert, but I spent most of it watching the mighty Bryan Beller. The guitars have a good ring but the bass gtr is not mixed quite loud enough to suit me. Son Volt is the next band I would like to hear again-this month in Nashville. Despite his crazy guitar skills, I actually love to hear him sing and play the piano. Rodney Crowell’s song ‘Till I gain control again’ is one of his best. They were more expensive than I’d have normally wanted to pay. £130 each after the wretched fees, but my wife loves him so hey ho. Saw people selling worse seats than ours for absolutely silly amounts. Daft. Had to get a hotel in Dunfermline as they rocketed it. Wish we could have made it up to brother in law's in Ayr for the next night. We did a couple of years back and spent a while stood outside with the band while the fire brigade checked the building after the smoke machine set off the alarms Wish they could make it a bit further south. Next up there is: Graham Gouldman in July Barock Project for two nights in November; and Lazuli in December Hoping to make the Nik Kershaw gig in Brighton in October as well.
