BassTractor
Yet another one hits the dust. It surely tells something about age. ezbass
I remember standing on the armrests of my seat at The Hammersmith Odeon (not something I do or did usually) whilst the balcony above me literally bounced when I saw him back in the 70s. Great gig, top 10 certainly. Sad to say that the Woodstock soundtrack and film credits are starting to look very much like an obituary list. RIP Alvin, you were great. molan
He used to live near me and my dad drank with him now and then (actually my dad drank with most people that lived near us, lol). Dad always said he was a really nice bloke, never listened to his music but thought I'd be impressed because he was a bit of a 'rock god'

flyfisher
Oh man! 'Love Like A Man' was one of the very first songs I performed (quite badly!) in my first band while at school.

Hot Tub
Another sad loss. Tonight I shall be listening to "Slow Blues In C", & raising a glass to the memory of a truly exceptional musician.
