ATG next up for me, so that means Battles, Russian Circles, Zu and lots lots more :)

I've never been to Arctangent, but I really should - every year I look at the poster in envy

Brief flash of a youthful sorry - Mark Ellen isn't it at the beginning? And a hideously chipper Andy Kershaw at the end!

On which subject, a bit of 'demographic targeting' going on there...

I have noticed that lately every "old farts" band that was vaguely """famous""" in their neighborhood 40 years ago is now advertised on flyers etc. as "[genre x] LEGENDS". LOL

Frank Turner on his upcoming UK tour. I’m a big fan and have seen him many times. I play him a lot in the car, particularly on the school run and my seven year old son has become a fan too. So I’m taking him - all ages show, seated venue, can’t wait to give him his first experience of seeing a live band. (Apart from seeing my band, but that doesn’t count!)

I'm seeing Tom McGuire and The Brassholes on Sunday at the Hug and Pint venue in Glasgow. Should be another blisteringly good gig!

It was going to be Saxon, Black Star Riders and Girlschool at Saxon's 'biggest ever Scottish gig'.

But poor Biff has to have a heart operation, so wishing him luck and a speedy recovery. Should be a song in it, at least...

Billy Cobham and Randy Brecker on 9/30. They're playing a small bar in Milwaukee. And when I say snall I mean with 100 people the place is packed. $30.00

Helmet at the Islington O2 in a couple of weeks.

might go to Acid Reign’s album launch gig the following night

then it was supposed to be Saxon - Hammersmith for me, with Krokus, Girlschool and Diamond Head.  It’s been rescheduled for the end of March so fingers crossed for Biff’s full recovery
