For me;
IN then Out
Fender P USA 78
MM Stingray 2 eq

and then stayed
Fender P CiJ Fretless
Rickenbacker 4003

My older J and P are still here and don't count as I've had them a while now.

Not a lot of change this year on the amp front.. a new combo and ext speaker added that's all :)

How about you Guys?

In - 5 string fretless take on a 50's P by Shuker
Out - Cort GB75 with fretless board by Shuker

Out - Lovely Peavey valve power amp and Pevey valve pre - got to heavy for my arthritic hands :(
In - Fabulous Carvin BX500 valve pre, Class D power. Still wary of Class D reliability but this sounds great and I'm sure the technology has improved from my first foray into it.

In- 1979 mm stingray and an electric upright bass, also a shuttleMax 9.2 amp (awesome!)
Out- does not compute :D

I'm not buying any gear next year though......well maybe a carbon bow for the upright.....and a set of strings for it which cost more than a few basses I have owned........and maybe a classic ray 5 stingray in tobacco burst...........

Coo, that`s a tough one, but after thinking about it:

In:
Tokai Hardpuncher
Fender MIM Precision 2010
Sterling by Musicman Ray 34
EBMM Stingray
Fender US Precision 2008
Fender US Precision 1978
Fender CIJ Precision
Fender US 2011 Precision - definite keeper (yeah, I know we`ve all heard it before, but this time I mean it)

Out:
Tokai Hardpuncher
Fender MIM Precision 2010
Sterling by Musicman Ray 34
EBMM Stingray
Fender US Precision 2008
Squier CV 60s Precision
Fender US Precision 1977
Fender US Precision 1998
And with any luck, my Fender US Precision 1978 as there are still 10 days to go.

And don`t get me started on amps & cabs..................

Yeah, spot on there Rick. Have been on the eternal quest for the right bass, however I think (well know) I`ve found it, in my 2011 US Standard Precision. Nothing fancy, fairly lightweight (about 8.4lbs I think) gets the job done, whilst being so easy to play, it virtually plays itself, or seems to.

A crapload of stuff I could not afford and one special bass, you know...the one that you've waited 2 years for (maybe the one that got away :( )

Oh well, seeming as its not the end of the world as yet then hopefully that leaves next year
