Lovely gig at the Victory Club in Barton (on Humber) last night. Didn’t expect a packed house at this time of year so was shocked at the great attendance. Up and dancing from the second number in the first spot which was appreciated and made the gig fly by. The motorway gods were reasonably kind also as a threatened M180 closure failed to materialise - bonus. We’re continuing the East of England theme next week with an outdoor gig in Withernsea, hope the weather is compliant.

I tried one of these out around 15 years ago and still strikes me as one of the best looking instruments I've seen. I could be tempted to buy or trade one of these if anybody was selling.

This was on my board for a few years, never let me down but just fancied a change so I’ve got a boss chorus on the board now. The toneprint options make it a pretty versatile pedal, found myself mostly using the Duff McKagan toneprint. No original box for this unfortunately but will be packaged securely. Price includes postage in the UK, cheers

Got this in a trade on here recently but it’s just not got much use. Between the green Russian and the grey stache that I own I have my fuzz needs covered. This one is two big muffs running in parallel, one of them has a standard tone control, the other has a mid boost/cut. Certainly a lot to play with and a lot of sounds to be gotten out of it! No original box with this but will be packaged securely. Price will include postage in the UK

Gretsch G6119b Broadkaster bass Japan €1.350

The one in The Gallery is a nice thing. I tried it the other day. Thin neck, nice tone, looks the part. My reservation is that I think it might be a bit pricey for what it is. But I guess the gallery has overheads that we don't. Your shortscale will undoubtedly be nicer to play, and what with these both being quite 'thumpy' semi acoustic basses, I doubt the scale length will make any real diff to the tone. GLWTS!- 4 replies

It’s amazing how that rattly driven tone sounds so warm & rounded in the mix.

Alas, poor Nate has gone. It was a lovely bass, but I don't gig Precisions. It's not my sound. So here's another Jazz bass... Previous owner has added a Parallel/Series switch (like Fender's original S1 switching), quite why, I have no idea. Also a Leo Quan BadAss II bridge, which is an excellent choice, although I'd have preferred the Fender American Standard/Professional bridge with the through body stringing. I guess you can't have everything. Liking the Shell Pink finish and the Pure Vintage 64 pickups (same as my American Original), but the relic job is VERY heavy handed. Then again, I could've been playing it since 1961 (eight years before I was born... 🤔) *Server is being weird about photo sizes today, so here's a link to the others... https://share.icloud.com/photos/0196nGcqDRf9tRKzrAQd7Busw

I have a Hohner B2. The leg rest works fine. Don't underestimate the passive humbuckers, they are incredible. Better than the Select by EMG pickips on my Jack V.

For sale is the Microtubes B7K Ultra V2 which has the AUX input as well. Great sounding pedal with amazing ability to sculp both the tone on the preamp side and the distortion on the drive side of the pedal. There is some very impressive sounds that can be had out of this pedal. The pedal comes with the original box and all the goodies that came with it. I bought this pedal 3-4 years ago but the sound is a bit too much for the bands I am in. I was always hoping to use it but it has literally sat in the box the whole time. I had thought I might use it also as an emergency DI for gigs but I have never needed it. I would be really interested in trades for Iron Ether Nimbus and/or Polytope because the funds coming from this will go towards those pedals. If I was playing heavier music this pedal would absolutly be staying. £270 including postage. Bank transfer or PayPal F&F.

possibly, all my basses have a symmetrical curve where they stand so I don't have a problem.

I love zero 7, didn’t realise he was the guy. So much thought in his bass lines that are just enough for the song. -
Spanking new round wounds, huge attack with right hand to push the pre-amp into the red as well. It’s a great bass line with loads of energy, I’m surprised how sloppy some of the bits are. Did they really decide to go for this as “the take”. Lots of string noise and undampened strings around 1.10. Some timing issues and inconsistent attack later on. Flea is great, but this isn’t perfect!
