  2. Not sure what we are in disagreement about? 😅
  3. Hahahha thanks @Beedster! I'm looking for a quick sale so any offers will be considered!
  4. I happen to have an Ibanez SRF705. Nut 45mm. Just looked at the specs for several 5-string Ibanez SR models, consistently 45mm. Yamaha TRBX500 43mm. ESP LTD B-205 45mm. Schecter Stiletto Stealth-5 45mm. Sire Marcus Miller V5 46mm. So AI is bollocks.
  5. Or, the sheer of not being allowed to be a shop-o-holic buying gear with the enthusiasm of a kleptocrat’s wife let loose in Harrods’ with their nation’s entire national budget was simply too much to bear?
  6. But you can't change that into part of a plant's reproductive system by changing one letter.
  7. Superb pedals these, if it wasnt xmas and all the associated skintness id have this off you

  9. Congratulations on your purchase. That's a very nice bass you have there at a very nice price 👍 I've not tried that particular recipe of Cort but just from the specs I would expect it to be good for me. Also I like the choice of using a clear pick guard so you can see the wood instead of slapping a cheap peice of plastic tort on to obscure it. 😮 (You probably gather I'm not a fan of tort 😒😁) I have one of the Cort NJS-5's and really like it. Straight out of the box it played and sounded great but in my tin of bits I had some Nordy's, Babicz and a Mike Pope pre and now it sounds betterer!
  10. I have one and it's huge fun. I do wish the filter control knob at the top was shorter though - feels very exposed there and could be damaged by a stray foot. I wonder why they just didn't use a regular pot like the other controls. Bit of a weird choice that.

  12. I can’t believe nobody hasn’t snapped this up at this price! It’s absurd. I’ve got one for sale myself and I’d never let it go at this price. If I had the spare cash I’d buy this! Either, folk haven’t used one of these or, everyone is being more than coy with their money. You will never really need another amp or effects, this covers it all. Absolutely baffling.

  14. I've come to the realisation that I have too many basses, and as I already have a JT4 I can't justify having essentially two of the same model, give or take a string. This is a Dingwall John Taylor 5 string. I've had this bass for nearly a year. It's in superb condition apart from a very minor mark on the back near the battery cover (see picture 9). I hand picked it in Andertons (from a choice of three) as at 4kg it was the lightest of the bunch by some way. It plays beautifully, and the Neve preamp is a great addition. I have made the following changes, but all original parts are included: Dunlop straplocks fitted Hipshot short stem Ultralite tuners fitted Six position rotary switch (see diagram for pickup combinations at the end of the post) Custom white scratchplate The bass comes with a very nice Dingwall gig bag and tool kit. I will also include a set of Dingwall nickel strings (which it also has a set of fitted), and a custom (i.e. expensive!) Heistercamp strap I had made to go with the bass. I have no box to ship it, but if you are interested I am sure we can work something out. Price-wise, when in stock these sell for between £2600 and £3000 new, so with the extra parts and the strap included I am asking £2200.

  16. Big bass or small person? 😅 If it is as big as the pictures show, I'm sure that will sound massive!

    Valeton GP-5

Basically, I just watched the video below. It's pretty straightforward to follow (it's good to have an understanding of MIDI implementation first but not essential) and it doesn't take too long. Make sure you check out the MIDI implementation in the back of the Valeton manual so you can assign the correct CC / PC number to the chocolate depending on what you want the pedal to do. I have my 2 most commonly used patched on the first 2 buttons and then patch up and down on buttons 3 and 4. I also set up some additional patches on a 2nd bank which is easy to do.
  18. Thanks for the link ! I'd never actually heard him play in that quartet. He always remarked how good the musicians he was playing with were though.
  19. Interesting reading the provenance stating the bass was given as a gift to the present owner after he put up the band for a night and bought bus tickets for them to get home after JB abandoned them during the tour. Sounds like standard JB behaviour
  20. Yep, fingers crossed all ok @Woodinblack

  22. I had a quick go on a Viscount Legend 88 key version and heard a friend gig with it. It looks great and sounds great, I think the modular aspect would be addicitve. ....but that geatness does come at a quite considerable £, and size/weight cost. I think it weighs about 20kg and is quite a big beast to transport (e.g. was a three person job to take the legs off - one each end to hold it up and one to unscrew them) and would dominate the average small pub size stage area I play on. Still, I guess it is a lot more transportable than an original 70s EP. It confirmed to me that whatever stage piano I get I'll need to limit to 73 keys.
  23. I agree with Ed, sorry Al. Using 5GHz is your best bet. The CQ is the best compact mixer on WiFi however many people do use travel routers with them, not because the WiFi is not good but often so they can run wired and wireless networking at the same time. One limitation is that you can only use wired or wireless on the CQ, not both at the same time. I have used both Soundcraft Ui and The Behringer X series and both have virtually unusable WiFi and had to have an external router.
