  2. Just bought a bitsa jazz from Ian. Excellent communication, even excellenter packaging 💯 thank you, happy to recommend to anyone else!
  3. just had a email from Soundrop, they're increasing their charge from $0.99 a track to a whopping $4.99 a track, so if we ever get round to releasing any new music we'll looking round for a better deal than that
  4. I agree. I decided to take a punt and I was surprised, as the neck is pretty good. No sharp fret ends or anything. The action is not bad but could probably do with a bit of a tweak by a guitar tech to make it 'really' good.
  5. What does the Taranis part of the name allude to? what does it mean? also... @Eli of the T
  6. Phil bought a book from me in a flawless transaction. 🙏
  7. Rod bought another book from me - flawless transaction as ever. 🙏
  8. It looks like a lot like my 2005 MIM - they definitely don't spray the under pickguard part to 20 cents or something #everylittlehelps
  9. Bought an Ampeg Scrambler off Marty. Great price and great condition. It was posted really quickly and packaged really well. All in all, the perfect BC transaction! Thanks, Marty 😁
  10. Yep I agree that’s the place to start Raise input gain until it’s too gnarly and start off with flat EQ and mid selector on 800 and go from there Shouldn’t be any crackles or odd noises coming from the pre amp tubes and enjoy its glory !
  11. £70 includes U.K. postage. MXR analogue chorus, all working, mains and battery. Excellent condition. Selling as I prefer my MXR digital version.
  12. I just set it flat and tweak to taste
  13. Night nurse - Gregory Isaacs
  14. Apparently 8lbs Sterlings exist but when I was researching them the lightest I could find was 9lbs and most of them hovered around the 10lbs mark
  15. Wow! I've just had a search through the archives and have found 'photos from that gig in 2004! In one you can make out my guitar stand and no! There are no other basses to be seen! I have no idea why, but I'm definitely sat down on a stool witha broken bass ha ha! Probably learned my lesson!
  16. Absolute beast of an amp, I have mine in the same gator rack bag. Best amp I’ve ever owned . Glwts
  17. I hope so. I've played thru a couple of full fat SVTs and loved them. I'll try and get plugged in later today and give it a whirl Any settings to start with?
  18. The cheaper the neck the more work it is likely to need so sometimes that £50 ebay neck might need £150 worth of fretwork to get it playing right. Mind you, sometimes a real Fender neck will need that as well.
  19. I do own a Laney 15W Ironheart IRT-Studio Aniversery Edition, with a poweramp/transformator DI output, and build in load, so no conection os speakers is necessary for it to operate. This is how it looks (random Google photo): And an old 50W Dynacord Bass-King produced in Germany in the early 60's (my actual unit), which sound non less than astonishing, but is in need of new power tubes, and a bit of work, like cleaning pots: Currently though I use the poweramp section of an old 120W solid state Peavey guitar amp, to power my "amp-less" setup, 2 always on tube preamps, one as the very beginning of the chain and one at the very end, is part of this setup though.
  20. Yes, which is a little sad as the Ray5 or OLP Tony Levin (also 22 fret neck) would be good inexpensive donor bodies.
  21. Today
  22. A quick shout out to Thomas at GuitarGuitar Epsom. excellent to deal with, super helpful and they have a first rate tech there, and you get a meeting with him to get your set up done before you leave recommended
