Christmas presents....What did Santa bring you?

Did you receive any bass related crimbo pressies or unexpected winners this morning?

 

I was lucky enough to get a used Bergantino cab ready for my return to live gigging in a few weeks time and also a posh Simba pillow from their refurb shop. Once I've seasoned it nicely with some dribble and snot I'll report back on it (both the the pillow and the cab)

I received an Amazon voucher from my work, which I used to purchase some D'Addario strings.

Did get some pennies towards a used Epiphone Sheraton though. So that’s close.

As im now mainly a keys player, i got two bass multi FX for Christmas 🤣. 

I had asked for one or the other a while back, but as i got a GP-50 earlier this month i took them off my list. 

Now i have these two, a GP-5 and GP-50 🙄.

.....or the more likely outcome: Playing drone notes hands-free while I practice noodling bass guitar in that key over the top.

nothing bass-related as no one here understands bass. Eldest D is pictured playing a @Prosebass 5 at about three years old and twanging a jap jazz bass at around eight months but that’s the closest I got

This year, as with previous years, I received absolutely bugger all bass related. In fact, the only pressie for me at Ez Towers was a shared one, which was a picture of Wee Ezette, with Santa, in a snow storm frame, which I’m very happy with.

We collected it in November but today I'm finally allowed to play the [1990s] Trace Elliot stack my partner bought me. AH300, 1x15 and 2x10. 😁

 

Edit: and on Boxing Day we took it apart and fixed the light-up front panel!
