I haven't bought one for over four years and I don't even have that at home at the moment ….I loaned it to @Brook_fan whilst he gets back on his feet.

I still have my other bass though...purchased some 28 years ago.

A commendable effort. I'm not even gigging and I still cannot refrain from the lure of something new (or old in my case).

Cure it, by buying wrecks of basses and doing them up. It is enjoyable, cheap and you end up with a new bass out of it as a consequence at the end!

(Incidentally you'll be surprised how many addicts/ alcoholics do this...not buying themselves a bass obviously, but I think YKWIM)

I cured my GAS by rarely coming on here for about 8 years. I've totally flipped that up recently though...

Had a GB for 8 years now... Haven't changed the strings for 3-years... (You can boost the treble quite a lot on them...)
