Who are you seeing live next?

I'm off to see Striking Matches at The Waterfront in Norwich on 15th Nov. Saw them last year at The Stables, Milton Keynes and they were fab.

Guy Garvey, London, December..

Before that, some local covers bands.

Will enjoy all of it, but after seeing Kate Bush last year, most live shows since then seem very dull in comparison.

When/where are Tower of Power playing?

I couldn't find any UK dates on their website.

Erm...... I'm off to see Will Young on Friday 13th in Glasgow. But, only because my friend Paul Turner is playing bass (Rob Harris is on guitar, and Michelle John - Eric Clapton backing vocalist - is in the band too). It'll be nice catching up with everyone during the day.

Massive cheers for that.

I bought a box set of the first 5 albums a couple of months ago after someone posted some of their stuff on basschat, I've been listening to them solidly since they arrived.

Frank Turner in London on the 26th of this month.

I don't get to many gigs I'm not playing these days, so really looking forward to it.

Hawkwind 20th December

Me too, see you there. Hawkwind with Steve Hillage, no less. Hillside village and Moonweed on stage together, that's what I'm going for.

In terms of bands I`ve paid to see, rather than just gigging with, I`m seeing my old band The Tuesday Club support Toyah at The Garage in Islington on Sunday.

Clint Mansell !

I'd love to see that. His work with the Kronos quartet is great.

:)

To make it even sweeter, I will be attending a nyckelharpa workshop given by Olov Johansson before the gig. Bit scary as I've only been playing a few months, but really looking forward to it.
