  2. I'm interested in the new affordable Joe Dart bass. Anyone know what soft maple is like as a body wood? Will it ding up like basswood? https://sterlingbymusicman.com/products/joe-dart?variant=41532195831923
  3. I play short (well sub short) scale bases and love them. They are Kala fretless fretless ubass at 23 in which has a lovely thumpy sound in the upright space Ibanez GSRM25 28.6 in 5er which is my fav, the low B needs a delicate touch but sounds good Ibanez GSRM20 28.6 in 4er ... not used as much but as the spacing is wider then my 5er I am using it to try to learn slap Soundwise I'm happy with them all. The big benefits for me are less stress/strain on my fretting hand and lighter weight and a slightly lower chance of putting someone's eye out with my headstock lol. Only drawback is trying to find suitable strings for the two Ibbys. Sam x
  4. I really enjoyed it. As others have mentioned, a suspension of disbelief is essential - for me the least believable element was that relatively new songwriters could be quite so advanced in songwriting and arrangement. I'm looking forward to a future series though.
  5. Quick update. Played the GK today for an hour. No issues. Recorded two quick samples with the contour button engaged and disengaged. I also attach the EQ settings. Still keep the low price as I cannot promise that the problems I had during the heatwave may not come back (during the next heatwave, for example). So, maybe only play it on cold days to be on the safe side? 😉 V_20240427_153859_ES3.mp4 V_20240427_153756_ES3.mp4
  6. Backbeat G1 with all the bits - charger, case, lead and instructions. Perfect working order, I bought it new in 2019 and only gigged it a couple of times
  7. Hi Dave, No paid rehearsal. The organisers have officially canceled the show. I'm bummed too. This was a classy room with a beautiful oversized bar. I was suspicious about this gig as soon as I found out it was not apart of their outside roof top summer live music series. Is there anything to be learned here? Daryl
  8. Check out Scott Whitley's online content - he's a big exponent of short scales.
  9. ASI 3DME. They're not cheap at £650 but you could easily spend that on normal IEMs. You can use the built in ambient mics to attenuate the room volume, and you can mix in an IEM feed too. I've had mine almost 2 years and I think they're awesome. https://3dwaveaudio.co.uk/
  10. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!! That is a valid point! The cable has one of those barrels... so I'm thinking that is for power, not data (see attached) Bugger
  11. There are even fx modules in the amp purely for the eq should you want that. So you can boost and cut any frequency.
  12. Could it be the USB lead... some are Power Only, rather than Power and Data... Had the same with my B1on and B1Four
  13. If you’ve already got one (and let’s be honest, you really should do) then get this as a second!!
  14. Hey Guys, i recently bought the infinity and i am amazed! One thing though is a bit odd and i cant find a solution yet. If i use it in bypass mode and re-activate it, it will go back to the Slot which was used before going into bypass mode. This is in my case a bummer, because i use all 3 settings for optional purposes and really want to get directly to Slot C when i stomp on C and not (for instance) A because it was used before. Any hints? Same is for Perfomance Lock Mode ...

  17. Not a PJ set but I've put a GZR P in my Sandberg shorty and it sounds great, not quite the classic precision sound as the pickup position is 15-20mm closer to the bridge relative to my Mustang (which nails the classic P tone) but it sounds great, definitely no booming in the lows. It's a punchy low end, bags of mid range detail and enough highs to add clarity without getting abrasive. Dunno if it matters but I always string my shorties with rounds whereas a lot of guys use flats but I find flats are too dull and lifeless, which some may interpret as boominess 🤷
  18. The Streamliner had one sweepable midrange, other than that does look very much like a repackaged Streamliner.

  20. Has anyone found a good way of having a Bass in Input R and another in Input L and being able to switch/mute between them? As far as I can tell, there are all sorts of options for splitting the effect chain signal and different outputs, but not so obvious how to split L/R inputs and mute one of them. My solution so far is Splitting the path and using the 'Return 1' for one Bass (Send set to Zero) and Return 2 for the other (again, Send at Zero), then the 'Mix' block can go from 100% / 0% for each side of the split. Is there a simpler way by switching the Input L/R though?
