  1. Past hour
  2. Thank you, I have to say yours is a real eye catcher as well. GLWTS.
  3. Hope Fender can integrate staff and keep producing some of the models. The L-series could replace their Dimension bass, and guitar models like the Comanche or Espada could do really well under Fender.
  4. Terror Amp now for sale also
  5. Agree with this. The irony in this, of course, is that most of the instruments used on our favourite records weren't vintage at all. A '59 Les Paul was 10 years old when Led Zep 1 was released. The Strat Hendrix played at Woodstock was 1 at the time. Jaco's iconic '62 jazz was just a teenager when he recorded his debut album, etc. I think there is magic in some old instruments, and it doesn't really matter whether it's almost entirely psychological. Perhaps it's the price and how inflated they all seem, even compared to a few years ago. Or maybe I'm still the person who remembers a Mars bar costing 25p and is upset they're now 80p (or whatever they cost). This will play a big part in it I'm sure. (It's certainly not envy, because I've owned them and could own them now if I wanted to.)
  6. Athens - Gagarin205 November 15th
  7. That would probably be Hohner
  8. I think for freelance professional musicians, especially studio musicians, a large part of the value in owning one is being able to offer a genuine vintage instrument to their customers, regardless of whether it's better/same/worse than a modern instrument. Also they are insured and tend to appreciate in value, maintenance is deductible, so in many/most cases will make be a sound economic choice. PS I am in the camp that thinks there is some magic in an instrument that has been played a lot beyond the feel of it, and I think some of the work done on vibration treating instruments bears this out.
  9. *Selling price adjusted to £450* Bergantino Super Pre up for sale, boxed with instructions and power supply. I have used the pre In my band going in ears by placing it on a small table, rather than placing it on the floor. It therefore doesn't have any velcro attachments & is in an excellent condition. The only thing I had to do when I purchased it was update the firmware, there are also a few speaker profiles uploaded as well. The sound quality and build is excellent, just what you would expect from Jim Bergantino. Collection from Teesside is preferred, although happy to post out.

  10. That’s an absolute beauty.. what a shame you are a 12hr round trip drive from me on the Sussex coast! 😬
  11. Five Colours In Her Hair - McFly
  12. They don't - you can see that much in the pictures of the OP
  13. Next Hurtsfall gig is OxJam Beeston. We're playing at The Berliner at 3.30pm. Wristbands for the whole event are just £10, but all the venues are free entry before 6.00, so if you don't want to stay late it won't cost you anything although the organisers would like it if you made a donation. If the previous years are anything to go by the whole event is excellent and well-worth supporting. Also in the past serval other Basschatter's bands have played so it could be an opportunity to catch up with some of us in real life!
  14. Doug (Wilkes) is our local Luthier & his Craftsmanship is superb👍

  18. If only I didn't need a new cabinet first....nice amp.. Best of luck with the sale.
  19. If you like the Vester more than your Ibanez, it’s a good trade. Doesn’t matter what is or where it was made!
  20. Welcome! I've lived in the locality most of my life, and went to college in Guildford many years ago. I used to avoid Andertons as I found them condescending and unhelpful, but they are now absolutely top notch for service. I wouldn't hesitate to shop there.
