Modded my VM5 with a split coil switch for a bit more of a P/J tone. Works pretty nicely, I must say. It switches between full humbucker and front coil.

ARY, FRANCE now. Made in Carmaux. 1990s. Round pernambuco 630mm stick, nickel-mounted ebony frog, Parisian eye and triple adjuster. Bow was professionally rehaired, cleaned and is in perfect order. It’s very light but the hair width is great. I found it very usable but ultimately not for me. Weight: 116.1gr and 118.1gr. Bought from Bowspeed in September. Have subsequently purchased a more suitable bow and the shop has now closed so can’t trade in. Cost £987, looking for £500 Certification: Bought from Bowspeed. Bow still marked with their sales label. - Today

Sadowsky USA Jazz Pickups

Definitely US. This came from a parts bass made by a Sadowsky employee. No real markings on it to identify as such. The pickups were scrubbed out and headstock left blank for fear of repercussions. I still have the neck - Brazillian rosewood fingerboard, Graphtech nut, Schaller tuners. -
I wasn't there, but in his explanation of how he managed to run himself over, Brian claimed to have eaten three large tuna and cheese jacket potatoes, the resulting nausea causing him to fall from his reversing car which then ran him over. I cannot help think in light of that event that Italians are wise indeed to insist that cheese should never be included in seafood dishes. Brian's increasingly wretched plight since that unfortunate day is testament to the efficacy of that dietary rule.

actually sourced it and sent it to him (through suppliers who sell to luthiers and custom shops- its no secret by now I'm a bass dealer) it was sourced in the US

Now priced at £340 - I have to go to the Post Office every day this week so discounting the trip to save me an extra journey later! ... I've been collecting and pedal-testing solidly since COVID but a lot's been happening this year and, as my priorities are changing, it's time to start letting some of these pedals go, including those that six months ago it would have been unthinkable selling. I recently listed a couple of Doom 2s, one in Cosmic finish and a high gain unit in Jade Sparkle. This time I've got a Bronze Age unit on the block from the March 2025 edition of 111 for £360. The unit is the standard gain model and is basically new in box. The price includes Royal Mail Special Delivery UK postage. I'm not really looking for trades at this point but there are a handful of pedals I'm curious about: COG T-70 v2; Hamstead Subspace GE, and Chase Bliss Spectre. -
My costs would include disassembly, reassembling and basic setup……..I’d feel like I was taking the p*ss if that was extra 🤣 If someone wanted to send just the body then I would factor that into the price and charge a little less…….time is money as they say!

Oh, I managed to run myself over whilst carrying out an emissions test (MOT) on an automatic vehicle which I had left in reverse gear (auto parking brake). Driver's door open, floored the accelerator, it hurt a bit 😳. Back on track. ParcelForce did their best to destroy the bass. It survived thankfully.
