Sounds rather suspect to me, especially as most active basses have passive pickups (BRX is going to pop up any second to say that there's no such thing as an active pickup). My Thumbs have active pickups (EMG and MEC, defining an active pickup as one that contains a preamp within the pickup body) and neither cause problems with any of my wirelessesses.

A Tech 21 PSA 2.0 Analogue (but controlled digitally) preamp pedal which quite a lot of options. has 99 presets of which 10 are bass specific, some good videos on the youtube with bass demos. Very small, comes in a tin (which has a couple of dents in it. The Pedal itself is in good condition and largely unmarked. Can be picked up from here or somewhere close, or can post for probably not much.

When you eBay drunk…make lemonade (DIY defret)

I hope that isn't a breading pair... -
I can't escape the sense that when we discuss online retailers we want them to be more like high street music shops, and when we discuss high street shops we want them to be more like online retailers. I've had probably 18 really good experiences with Bass Direct and two bad ones, and reflecting on this thread it's the two bad ones that probably stick in people's mind.

This old chest of mine (singalong to a Motown tune) has kept me from doing much except making the odd cable for the good folkss of Basschat. So little progress has been made. The Trussrod had been adjusted properly, by measurement rather than guesswork. A new set of Gotoh GB 350 machine heads is on its way too. I cannot abide cheap machine heads. These will be fitted to my Sire and the Hipshots on this Sire will be converted from 2x2 to 4 inline. Finally I will file down the bottom of the saddles to give a better action/ string height. I did investigate replacing the bridge pieces but most available are just as high. As it stands I would happily gig with the bass although with the higher action and wider neck than I am used to, it might be a hard slog.

Not only 9 pages, but it claims to be “brief” as well! I do not want to see the first unedited version! Now I love to play in a good 3 piece band, but that bio makes me worry that the author of it wouldn’t be able to self edit when playing either. I’ve been in bands like that before and the guitarist ends up like Joe Bonamassa when he’s off his Ritalin.

I really like the green circuit board showing, it's the other part of the cavity that lets the whole look down for me. Perhaps use the body wood photo under that section? Mark -

Sex Pistols to reunite...with one glaring omission
upside downer replied to upside downer's topic in General Discussion
Not for me, you couldn't. They tried that with Sid and that didn't end well. As @Lozz196 has already mentioned, all four of them brought something to the table. And nobody can go chug-chug-chug on a guitar like Steve Jones! Good point. You can't help but think that they might do more shows though, depending on how well these two go. -
