  2. Is each bass in a model range not all the same weight or do they have variations. Is it not listed on the Sandberg website. ? Have to admit i generally go to the company website first rather than ask a shop. Don't think i trust shops to give me a definitive answer. Dave
  3. The Cogs Of War - Pink Floyd
  4. For me - no point whatsoever, I don’t get on with them. I miss the fatness of a P, and jiggling the volume controls just annoys me rather than producing any worthwhile tones. For people who enjoy them - they are the bee’s knees, cat’s pyjamas, dog’s danglies etc. And that’s fine of course - use what works for you.
  5. Bad timing, I ordered one from DA like 10 days ago... From the US to France, with customs fee and vat it costed me almost 4x this price 😅 Someone buy this pedal now, it's a steal !
  6. Gator hard case shown with standard sized bass (not included) good condition with all catches and hinges working, £50 collection IP31 or £10 uk shipping
  7. Looks like that was last year! I know of two teachers in Glasgow, but that may be too far from Edinburgh.
  8. Marshall DBS7400 were excellent amps, used to pair mine with the Marshall VBC412 cab.
  9. Mine was rewired by Martin Nash (RIP) who was on here some years ago. Martin and I became friends via a lot of Shergold and Hayman dealings and email chats. I bought the bass from eBay from the original owner’s widow. When I opened it up to have a look in the control cavity I found a note and wiring diagram…..from Martin! Must have been fate - I told the original owner’s wife who was amazed at the coincidence. She also told me her husband had been in a Joy Division/New Order tribute and that the bass had been played by Hooky at a local gig. Here’s a pic of Martin’s diagram…
  10. I'm still using my Marshall 90's rig for large shows with 1 or 2 410s (dependant on how far I have to carry them lol) It sounds absolutely immense and the 7400 dbs is the only head I've found that can deal with a wah pedal properly. For smaller shows I use a TC bh250 and 410, but it does lack some of the heft (LOL) of the Marshall. I used to have a Hartke LH500 which was great, but I never really got on with the eq
  11. I have added the weight to the info now but it is 4.5kg.
  12. Today
  13. Interesting, I’m sure it used to be 8 or 2. I’ll go back to sleep
  14. That's a very decent price for an amp that will make your bass sound rather lovely
  15. we use a band google calendar, gigs and unavailability goes on it, it works fairly well, mostly.
  16. BC Rich Usa models rarely seem to come up, but even some of the older Japanese ones don't seem to appear often. Warlocks are quite frequently seen in the wild, as are the occasional eagle and mockingbirds, But I have yet to see another Ironbird for sale (usa or import) for many years - I picked mine up on here courtesy of @Cosmo Valdemar. Subsequently, I've had messages from all over asking if I would part with it. There are two 'holy grails' that I've been in search of for many years - A Wave and a Bich. In fact if I did find one I would seriously consider the sale of relatives
  17. I am 1619. Who is 8647? He/she has a lot to answer for.
  18. Wow I used to tinker my best mate’s one of these before I got my own first bass. Proper blast from the past!
  19. You have to make sure that it's trying to load http:// and not https:// - Chrome has an unfortunate tendency to change everything to https://, Firefox is more subservient in that respect.
  20. If this were me i'd be buying the Sessioncakes for sale in the classifieds, they will give you the most versatile setup and each will work as a solo practice tool as well, for 20 quid each i'd consider it a no-brainer. (i have no connection to the seller other than buying a bag from them a few years back) SC-01 SC-02 Matt
  21. Yes, they are!
  22. I'll have a look when I have a mo. You wouldnt happen to know what the resistance accross your one is would you? If its the same as mine then I might just be expecting too much...
  23. Just bought a stand from Mick, it's great, as was all the comms in the transaction. Pleasure to deal with, and thanks again
