  1. Past hour
  2. Yes. It's all working and as it should be. Everything is stock: 19mm spacing at bridge, the string spacing/positioning at nut and bridge is how Lakland (and many other manufacturers) do it - the G is slightly closer to the edge of the fretboard than the E is.
  3. The most important question is surely not "is that a mod?", but "is that mod any good for metal?".
  4. I have used him in the past on an old Ric I had.. Black plate and TRC which he would only do on proof the Ric is genuine...
  5. For anyone who hasn’t heard this, it’s superb, good luck mickey
  6. Three John Mayall CDs on the US Forty Below label. Played once or unplayed. All well reviewed, The Sun is Going Down features guest guitarists like Mike Campbell and Carolyn Wonderland. £16 posted UK. Now £14

  7. This is as hard-hitting as Lucinda’s songs, and to be frank it’s a wee bit too honest. But that makes it compelling reading, so if you like her music it’s a solid investment. If you don’t know who she is, consult YouTube immediately… Hardback, very good condition. RRP £20, yours for £13 posted. Now just £11.
  8. Maybe it’s feeling unloved? EDIT: It plainly isn’t unloved as this thread proves.
  9. Certainly an mp3 should not be the only release format.
  10. Yep! I wound up finding him on Facebook via the FI group there. Blue case coming this week!
  11. Anyone see Beetronics' drop their Star Wars custom shop pedals? Some really cool designs there.
  12. We're thinking about releasing an EP of 4 new songs, our singer is keen because he's an avid collector, we may sell a few at gigs and if we keep costs down may get our money back but I can't remember the last time I bought an album, I listen to most of my music via my phone these days, usually bluetoothed in the car. Most people I know don't buy physical albums any more, they use streaming services, which is really bad news for small artists but it's the way it is, I can't really complain because that's what I do.
  13. Cool will have to give it a go. I'm sure I can get a little template set up in logic with all the correct routing etc and see how it compares.
  14. Naah! The 'Made In Italy' sticker's likely right. I think it's probably a Gherson - a quick Google for 'Gherson JB' shows a bunch of different versions, none identical but with a lot of the same details across them. I think the bridge pickup's not original, looks like a new-ish DiMarzio with those black hex poles. Looks like the tuners also may have been changed, the way the D unit's hanging off the headstock doesn't exactly look 'factory'! Do you have a neckplate pic? Anyway, I think it's pretty cool, I'm a sucker for a bound dot board on a J.
  15. Today
  16. I stand corrected. I should've scrolled down the Japanese Fender serial number page a tad further. Thanks. I'll edit. 👍
  17. Yes, there is a big issue that makes no sense and is causing problems, the front end (cloudflare) has a pointer to where the site is, the pointer decided to point to the old site (basschat and guitarchat as I am sure you will remember changed server at the start of feb), now the old site no longer exists, we revert it to the new site, it stays pointing at it for a few hours and then it changes itself for reasons unknown to point to the old site again (which isn't there) and goes offline.
  18. Oooh, been wanting to try one of these heads for a while, alas i am fully cabbed up. GLWTS
  19. Nice bass. CIJ O plus 6 digits is 1997-2000.
  20. There's an easy(ish) method on the Tone3000 website. Download an audio file, send that through the gear, upload the recording and they work it out. I guess you'd need to do a bit of matching, but it shouldn't be too bad. https://www.tone3000.com/capture
  21. Why not. I just loved your comment on it
  22. What's the top left pedal? And what's the signal chain here? Any of these do the brass from the intro? 😁
