  1. Past hour
  2. TI Jazz if you want articulate mids. La Bella if you want to nail the old-school thump. La Bella Low Tension Flats if you are a lightweight like me and don't like playing on anchor cables. There are other choices. I've tried some of them. I like these 2.
  3. There’s a fair amount of banter between Danny, Davie 504 and Charles Berthould on YT.
  4. Any of The Jam’s greatest hits are your friend in this regard.
  5. Lovely bass. Shame im so far away , as too far to collect or meet. Based on the south coast Out of curiosith whats the weight of this onr please.. GLWS
  6. Wow these look great. Any idea of finished weight and recommended crossover frequency, or is that covered in the download?
  7. No, he's done quite a few colabs with them where he has a "go" at their content or something ... so you'd think... then they end up on each other's channels. It's how you make a living through music these days. Have to be a social media content creator and he's playing the game. Good luck to him.
  8. Proper cool.
  9. Hi Andy - I’ll send you a private message on here 👍
  10. Open to offers on this if it's not priced right. A great sounding fuzz for the brave soul who can wield it...
  11. Never owned the K&K Double Big Twin, but I've used the Fishman BP-100 which looks similar. When I was in your situation I used small bulldog clips between the strings. The bonus of this approach is that it should be non-permanent and very easy to remove. The BP-100 is not the same in that it's supposed to go right up to the edge of the bridge, and comes as a pair rather than a four (which probably would make bulldog clips awkward on your K&K thinking about it) but if you already have the clips you have nothing to lose by trying it. If it means anything, I absolutely love my Bass Max. Favourite sounding pickup.
  12. I think just yelling about stuff is his thing.
  13. You can't give what you don't have chief; take some me-time to prioritise how to get back to making life make you and yours happy 😉 Yeah yeah, easy said I know 🙄
  14. There's a Source Audio Aftershock in the classifieds. It has about 973 different flavours of drive/distortion in it......you can try loads out without buying separate pedals
  15. Greetings from the Third World (aka Cornwall!)😂 Does anyone out there know if these strings are any good for Slap? I've got them on several of my 4 and 5 string fretless but wondered if they produced a half decent slap tone on a fretted (based on whatever type of bass you have them on). I was thinking of giving them a go on a couple of my 5 string Yamahas but thought I'd consult you guys first 🙏☺️ Many thanks
  16. I initialy worried about that, but there are a bunch of things built in that are pretty good, and other things you can download (such as excelent drums). Then of course if you have something such as a synth that you want to copy you can just set it to automatically copy it (it plays the midi and records the audio). It is a shame there aren't more plugins (I thought the Key 37 had them? I know the larger key does). Now I look I see that Jura is also cheaper, which is something I might like to get!
  17. Bought 2 Mono cases (mono and double), have only the M. Graphite flight case left. Other hard cases took too much space.
  18. The Last Dinner Party in Nottingham Great stuff, fun theatrical atmosphere.
  19. So sorry to hear this, An amazing inventive bassist. Love his work with Chaka, especially Naughty album. Had the privilege to see him 3 times in concert; with Mike Stern at Ronnie Scotts around 2015 and twice in 1993 at the New Morning in Paris with Steve Khan (with Steve Gadd) and with Tania Maria (with Dave Weckl). Both mesmerising performances. A true giant
  20. Thanks, but I still don't see it and I think your physics is flawed in regards to how a shim will exaggerate this problem. I'd also like to see a photograph actually showing this, so I can see it has definitely been caused solely by the presence of as shim and not in any way related to poor construction of the neck or incorrect application of the truss rod.
  21. Today
  22. I used packaging from Next socks - doesn’t shrink or squash … unlike the socks …
  23. I reckon "There are no marks of using" is gonna sting the craftsman who reliced this beast! GLWTS
  24. Of course. The fretless does sound lovely, but, as someone who is lucky enough to own a bespoke @Jabba_the_gut fretless (which I prefered to my fretless Rob Allen), I am contractually bound to say it doesn't sound Jabba good.
  25. I find Gear4Music absolutely superb. I had a bass arrive with damage (couriers fault), they gave me several options regarding replacement / returns and allowed me a month to think on it (which I used) before returning it with no quibbles.
  26. @Gazz Pity I never spotted any "T40 parts wanted" post. 6 of the 68 Peavey basses I've owned were T 40s, if I didn't have the parts I'd know somebody who did. Fat lot of good that does you now 🤣
  27. Wooden wood coming from trees.
