  1. Past hour
  2. I can’t find any videos on it but one cool effect was using the Slicer effect but using an assign with the Internal Pedal set to a sine wave to control the “Pattern” parameter which results in a random sounding glitchy stutter. Great for building lofi patches. There’s some great examples of the kind of weird effects you can create here:
  3. My bad ! It is of course a maple neck ! Apologies, it’s corrected.
  4. Here’s a good example for configuring a far more effective side chained noise gate via assigns. It allows far tighter control of threshold based on input levels: The QC has something very similar with sidechained compressors and gates however there’s something nice about having this level of control. if you’re creative, you can get some very cool effects out of it by utilising some of these assigns.
  5. I'll be 72 next month. Dave, I'm just not sure I could handle the amount of night gigs or trying to do 2 and 3 gig weekends. I wish I could. However, I still want to see more consistent packed rooms and lots of dancing. You can't get that with blues rock. It's a bit of a downer playing " Red House" and watch the audience fall asleep. I wish we would dump that song. Daryl
  6. Suggest you try Turners, which is about 200 miles closer than East Sussex and if they cannot help you I’ll put you in touch with John. Edit: https://share.google/XD1SRdoo5dTYW1dTo recently he saw my acoustic bass from about 20 feet away and said it needed more bow. He was right #blackmagic very helpful and knowledgeable chap
  7. You won't play much mandolin with a twisted arm.... Have PM'd you.
  8. This is my last gig of 2025. I’m not playing (by choice) NYE this year, which is probably the first time in nearly 40 years. In what was supposed to be a period of winding down gigging a bit, still managed to play 95 gigs this year and 2026 is already looking quite promising. 😀 Happy New Year to all BC’s gigging fraternity!
  9. The new Paul Turner Signature strap features a proven combination of meticulous design and responsibly-sourced, eco-friendly materials. It’s 100% free of animal products and completely vegan-friendly. The strap is 7 cm (2.75”) wide with a length of 95-150 cm, using RightOn!’s distinctive length adjustment system. Manufactured from specially selected premium quality synthetics in either black with white contrast details or white with black, the strap features high-density latex padding for maximum comfort and is lined with soft, durable microfiber, giving it a little grip on the shoulder. Bought new a couple of months ago, but unused.

  11. Good lord. Is this still here? It’s feckin gorgeous
  12. This was the weirdest thing when I saw it pop up on Insta when they posted it a couple months back. I took over from Ollie in a band he couldn't do anymore coz of High Fade 😅 He gives a shoutout to an Edinburgh legend in the quickfire section (not me unfortunately).
  13. Thank you for the offer but I ended up taking it to the recycling centre on the clean up for Xmas , I felt bad but its been recycled at least.... we're using the surviving one as a side fill as it's got a smaller footprint than our current wedges.
  14. Im afraid a lot of us are using that signature sound.
  15. Thank you for the extra information re: relicing. I’d be after the sort for aging that makes the finish go satin like some of the (nitro I guess) finishes.
  16. My lad is a fan, but he was saying that their new drummer isn't a patch on the he replaced.
  17. And that's how it grabs you and then you're hooked for life. 🤩 Dave
  18. Apologies, only just caught your question. As bigsmokebass has already said it is 34” scale
  19. I play in a gospel band and a couple of the keyboardists are like this - a piece of tape across their bottom couple octaves does the job!
  20. If you got it off AliExpress, they've got a good returns policy - certainly for smaller items they supply a postage paid label and the return is to a UK address, and IME the refund happens as soon as the parcel is dropped off at the post office.
  21. Children Say - Level 42
  22. As I understand it, you have a degree of recourse if things go awry; Paypal dispute etc. I have seen a few posts from people who've bought the same model from the same seller and things are generally OK. End of the day, it was only £200! I can hang it on the wall.
  23. EHX bass micro synth in virtually as new condition with original box and power supply. Fully working with no issues. Awesome analogue tones from synth to filthy square wave fuzz and pretty brutal when you combine the two Price includes postage to a UK address
