just had a listen (as I've nothing better to do at work) and the chorus melodies are basically the same. Whether or not that's copyright infringement I wouldn't know. On the face of it it seems a bit pathetic, but if I heard someone playing one of my songs on the radio, making loads of money, and I was convinced they'd copied it, I'm pretty sure I'd do the same.

I tried listening to both but ended up punching myself in the face to relieve the audio assault!

Whiny male vocal with acoustic guitar...how different can it get in the bed wetter genre (as it was described on radio 5 today)

Given that material for the bed-wetting genre is churned out on a big music conveyor belt on the Moon, I think the two songs are actually quite different. I think the 'Amazing' people are trying it on, somewhat... boo, rubbish!

Insert Robert Johnson song and derivative blues works of choice. State that you are a descendant of Mr Johnson and consequently claim copyright infringement in all blues songs from all artists. How long before this one plays?

Just goes to show that its the melody makes all the difference between a timeless classic and forgettable bed wetters.

If they had anything novel in the first place they'd have an argument. Sounds like they're just annoyed they sold their idea to a middle-aged talent-show chump instead of an ugly ginger feller.

If all of them were killed in a bus crash tomorrow I don't think the world of music would pine for them.

Although I'm not a fan of Sheeran or Cardle this has been initiated by 2 faceless 'song writers' and a ball sucking lawyer :) Cardle has made it clear he has nothing to do with the legal proceedings, so fair shout to him.
