They have some Fender guitars for almost £100-150 less than the UK now. Is there an option to buy through an Amazon account or did I imagine that? Basically, cheapest way without charges! Thomann will invoice you in Euro - the GBP figures on their website are for illustration and sometimes use a suspect exchange rate so don't rely on these. I use this link to enter the Euro value and the conversion % my bank charges to determine how much it will actually cost me. No commission, no fees, best exchange rate going. Pay it off at the end of the month and you pay nothing extra at all. The estimated cost has only ever been a few pence (like, sub 10p) away from the actual cost. Maybe I have just been lucky? I use Nationwide, and just the 'normal transaction'. [/quote] This is a MasterCard and the exchange rate applied to the transaction is their rate which may or may not be the best at the time. Compared to Visa the difference on a day by day basis is negligible. Any MasterCard or Visa bank card that doesn't charge a fee is therefore better than one that does, but unless there's an added value 'service' from the bank, then, for any given transaction on the same day they should all be the same.
