Big shout out to Andertons, who firstly got a bass to me super-quick, then sorted a couple of minor issues quickly and efficiently. Superlative service. Will be buying from them again.
-
After a supreme effort in getting down to one bass, I've only gone and ordered another one, haven't I? D'oh!
-
Complete convert to Neo magnet pickups. Fitted a set on my Jazz - sounds totally immense...

When did we start posting private correspondence in the Status column? Oh well, here goes... Derek. I don't need the adult diapers now until Friday. Thanks.
-
Shout out to Jason at Hipshot, who once again sent me Ultralight tuner adaptor bushes free, gratis and for nothing. Top customer service.

Anyone else seeing breast enhancement ads on BC? Ironic really - if anything, I'd like to see breast reduction ads.

@dodge_bass I dunno, if anything I'd like to see a reduction of bass collections...
-
No P Bass in the house for the first time since 1976.
-
From rounds to flats and now back to rounds. Twang! Boing!
-
Serious GAS for a Bacchus Jazz Bass. Anyone have one, or played one? Comments? Thanks.
-
My fear is that I will die and mrs discreet will sell my basses for what I told her they cost.
-
Oh Lordy, there are WAY too many nice basses for sale here at the moment. Must... resist... GAS...

@pete.young Thanks for that image. Where's the brain bleach??

They say if you get a tattoo you should consider what it's going to look like when you're old... but if I got one, I'd know instantly...

@SpondonBassed My Tena Lady covers a whole coffee table, but she's quite a big girl and it's a very small coffee table. Glass-topped too, but we probably don't want to get into that on a family-friendly forum... as for charging, I have to put the bins out on Monday nights.

My car insurance renewal quote is less than it was last year! That's a first!

@JapanAxe Definitely. Looked around just out of interest and Direct Line were competitive. But they wouldn't do monthly payments and their excesses were, uh... excessive.

What happened to the 'pirate' emoji? And what happened to the 'so shocked I fell over' emoji? I feel I can't express myself properly on BC without these two emojis. Can we have them back please? I feel naked if I can't pretend to over-react and/or be a pirate. Thanks.

@CameronJ I'd forgotten that one! Given the amount of GAS on the forum, we need a GAS emoji!
-
@SpondonBassed that’ll do nicely.

Two-saddle P Bass bridges! I'm done with 'em! They look 'authentic' but really the action and intonation adjustments are always a compromise. You can see why Leo went for the four-saddle job in 1957! Fitted a Fender Am Deluxe four-saddle variant instead and it's a different bass entirely. Peace out!!

@hiram.k.hackenbacker The work of two minutes with Superglue and cocktail sticks - and a couple of seconds worth of electric drill. Done!
-
UK Customs charges! Got hit for a bridge I imported from the USA! Rip-off! At least Dîck Turpin wore a mask!!

Here in Finland there are no import duties to pay for items that are imported from outside of the EU if, The total value including postage come to some under something like €50.
Or at least that was the case the last time I imported anything from the USA, far too complicated to try and save money on items and will only do it if it's a specialised item I can't get from anywhere else.

Are we really going to change the rules of Cricket just because kids don't find it 'exciting' and have the attention span of a goldfish?? Anyone who doesn't understand the rules doesn't deserve to enjoy the game, IMHO. Bah! Tsk! Pshaw! And so on.

Milliput Superfine White is excellent for nut repair. Just sayin'.

Jack broke his nut once and Jill fixed it with vinegar and brown paper.
If you read the second verse of the old nursery rhyme quoted here it seems there are other things that can benefit from that sort of therapy.
-
@SpondonBassed Seems about right. You may as well patch your nob with vinegar and brown paper as anything else. I often use a dab of honey and a wet wipe.
-
In the style of Valerie Singleton:
All you need to make your own scale model of the Kensington fatberg is a squeezy Fairy Liquid liquid bottle, some Hermès 24 Faubourg scented wet wipes, some of nanny's used syringes and some palm oil. Make sure the palm oil comes from Harrods' food hall children. We don't want any lower class blockages in our sewers now do we?
Here's one I made earlier...

What, ANOTHER royal baby? Two kids not enough for them? We should be encouraging proper family planning, not shagging all over the shop and popping kids out like bloody rabbits! Setting a very poor example in my view.

What the hell is happening with the weather? Only a week ago my nads almost shrivelled away to nothing in the cold, now it's so hot they're hanging very low and they stink. I thought we were supposed to enjoy a temperate climate in this country? I blame the Russians.
