    Yep, it's very loud and there's an amazing weight to the sound. Best digital power section I've used (and I've used a lot!). There's so much going on I'm a loss to know where to start right now, but I'll try and review in a few days. The cab calibration is amazing. The effects sound lush and are endlessly tweakable using the software. Low and High pass filters. Preset shapes. Vintage and Modern tones. I bought the footswitch as well, which will be a game changer for live use. I was giggling like a kid at Christmas when I started playing!

    A.S.S. 12” custom Bass Speaker Cabinet. Loaded with Peavey 1201-8 12” Black Widow driver. The cabinet was handmade by cabinet manufacturer A.S.S. in their Southend factory in the late 1980s. They made the cabinets for the Who bassist John Entwistle as well as for Turbosound P.A.s and their own A.S.S. P.A. systems. The driver was re-coned about 14 years ago and then hardly used since. The re-cone was by Wembley Loudspeakers (the best) and I assume a bass cone was used. The cabinet is nearly cube shaped at 450x450x420mm. It is incredibly well built in heavy ply with black textured paint and is front ported (see the photos) with an extremely solid foam damped grille. There are some marks on the surface and it has runners on the underside rather than feet. Sound wise it exhibits a nice forward lo mid and mid range and a smooth top end, so not a hi-fi cabinet but sounds great with a four string P-Bass. The cabinet is chunky and weighs 25kg approximately.

    20240426_210741.heicFirst version of this awesome pedal. A bit of light wear and tear on the casing but works perfectly. The foam tabs on the back were removed by a previous owner and does have some velcrow on the back (easily removed). Postage included in the price.

    GK 200MB Combo from Feb 1988 - in custom flight case. It works but after a while it reduces in volume and therefore needs a service. comes with an IEC cable.

    I like the look of Laklands, though some of their colours are a bit ordinary. I tried a 4 string briefly in a Guitarguitar and it was a bit heavy, but not too bad. I get the impression their fivers can be a bit too heavy but I wouldn't mind a light one. I'm on the lookout for another fiver at the moment, let me know how you are finding it.

    I can recommend Bass Centre Detroits. The set are .045-.105 and are a bit rootsy and funky than Chromes. I have them on a Fender 57 RI USA with a Bare Knuckle ‘58 pickup. They sound very nice and record well.     I worked in child safeguarding for 10 years, specialising in cases that hadn't resulted in a criminal conviction. In Jackson's case the evidence would easily have reached the civil threshold for proving the allegations. The case was used for training new staff in evidence evaluation.
