  2. Gear I Go Again On My Own - Whitesnake
  3. Do you have a technical rider, listing your needs (backline, FOH, mics, lighting, colour of Smarties etc...)..? It would help to know what you require. How many musicians, for instance..? Where in the UK will you be based, and for how long..? Hope this helps...
  4. Just doing a small repair of a jack output socket for a friend on his tele (sorted) and I noticed that the volume and tone pots , while working fine, only really seem to engage in the last few increments , like between 8 -10 ish ? Is that normal . It’s a 20-30 year old fender telecaster (USA)
  5. Telegram Cam(belt) - Bauhaus
  6. I just landed a 1998 JB4A, which may not be what you are asking about, but I can add that, blimey it's killer. @BlueMoon is indeed correct about the weight. mine is ash bodied and weights a tonne.. well 5.2kg but it´s weighty. Fortunately for me, I don´t mind a heavy bass. Mine has the Bartolini 9s pups and the NTCT Bart pre amp. It's made for slap (with its mid cut), but mids can be boosted from the board, and finger style, it's warm and fat. Quality in every aspect. But the neck is also fat. It has a full C (jazz width) profile and feels like a slender bass ball bat. Very similar the BB in the picture in fact. Here again, lucky for me I like em fat, thin, wide or narrow.. Maybe newer Moons have a sallower profile?
  7. Could really do with moving this on as my half pay kicks in next week!
  8. I really want to keep this but have a few projects at home that need attention so looking to shed a few bits. Wicked pedal with knight fall, tarkin and T65 Octaver. All with individual clean blends, plus a master blend, and a master on/off switch. Effects stack in parallel for an absolute wall of awesomeness. Controls are really intuitive and easy to navigate. Velcro on underside, really wicked artwork. It's a wonderful pedal. I'll wrap box and post carefully. Any questions please shout. Selling cheaper than purchased, price includes postage second class. Can meet between Kettering, Bedford, Stevenage, Farnham areas of UK, or pass to my singer in north London... Drummer west London.... Blurb from cog website: Hellraiser" Custom Bass Multi-Effects Grand Tarkin Bass Fuzz, Knightfall Distortion and T-65 Octave all in parallel. Four level controls for mixing Dry signal, with only one ever active depending on which combination of effects are selected. This is very much an expansion on the concept of the T-65 Octave and parallel sub octave in general. Artwork is an adaptation of the Puzzle Box from the 1987 film Hellraiser, with oversized Moog-style knobs to finish things off.
  9. I bought this on a whim whilst frankly somewhat intoxicated! It’s a great little box of joy but in the cold light of day I really don’t need it lol The editor is very cool and doesn’t require a degree to operate. So if you want an as new Pod hit me up baby. I’ll even post it to the UK free
  10. I just got one of these for my birthday. I've had a 30 minute play and it seriously sounds great to me. Super easy to dial in something for practice. Not tried it with a guitar or NAM profiles yet, but I really don't see the need to do so immediately. I'm a little curious about making a NAM capture of my Digbeth head though just to see what that would be like.
  11. I loved that track. The octave divider was THE Pino sound of that era. Pino comes from Cardiff where I started my Jazz playing but I am pretty sure he had already left when I started playing there. I ate at his family's restaurant once but never met or saw him play. Laurence Cottle and Percy Jones were fairly local to there also (Swansea and Llandrindod Wells, I believe).
  12. Cheers all! I would like to bring an original band across the pond in early September to coincide with a celebration of life that has been planned by a friend's family member. We have a following here (in the US) and there are a few who know us in UK. Are there any events going on that might be good for a hard rock/metal band and a promoter or two to suggest? Tis a lot of dosh to bring live shows and I would like to be able to even partially offset the trip with a gig or two. Any thoughts??
  13. Half way through this afternoon’s gig. Slow start as keyboards refusing to work, but all good after. Parking is an absolute nightmare and it’s all gone up in the pay and displays by about 30%! Still, appreciative crowd, which is nice.
  14. Today
  15. Let's see how fast it shifts at this price. No one's taking the bait yet which surprises me 🙂
  16. My band Shreds. are headlining in Manchester at the Star & Garter on Friday May 30th. Tickets here: https://ticketlab.app/event/31718#/ Maybe see you there!
  17. I'm not so sure about that....
  18. A superb blowout of joint winners in April, all on the money with excellent tuneage from Chiliwailer, Leonard Smalls, Upside downer and Jean-luc Pickguard. By a marvelously community spirited resolution , Jean-luc Pickguard has provided us with a lovely image .... "Ralph the Bulldog" A very talented Ralph by all counts, talking of counts, I'll add them up to find the winner when you have applied your 2 votes to the entries below. 1 @Baloney Balderdash Take 1 of a free improvisation with some minor post production edits in a simple Wav editor. 2 Lurksalot a bit of Electric piano in a smooth stylee , Paws for effect 3 @Chiliwailer That puppet dog looks like he’s had a few scooby snacks - so we dusted off the keyboard, went electro, and got that canine and chums on the mic. 4 @Leonard Smalls I got a touch confused... Rather than Bulldog I went for Bulgarian! 5 @Jean-Luc Pickguard Here's my entry for this month: Woof! by Jinky Fuzz featuring Ralph. 6 @upside downer Ralph, bored of guarding pedal boards and snoozing, decides that it's about time he got his groove on, so he leaps up, hits the keys and gives it his best Clint Boon impression. Ok that's your lot we'll say pick your favourite 2 from them Voting will close at midnight on May 31st Best of luck , enjoy

  19. making no comment on the actual rod used, but there's nothing inherently wrong with a single action truss rod - I'm pretty sure that apart from some periods pretty much everything with a Fender logo on will have a single action truss rod like the one on the left ...
  20. What Neepheid said - solder looks ok, if it's fixed when wiggled its mechanical and needs a new jack socket...
  21. I’d get it to Dave Wilson in Hexham. he did a miller jazz for me - I went OTT on pickups and a Pre in it - should’ve kept it stock apart from the paint
  22. Sounds great
  23. Although my main setup is a stomp, I've always used zoom stuff and if i had to go back to my zoom ms60b i would be fine with it! I bet the B6 will be brill!
