  1. Past hour
  2. I bought some strings from Pete & he was a pleasure to deal with - well packaged + fast delivery. Thanks Pete👍
  3. Just checking in on this - I am also interested in a ahem...RIC....Andy gave me some info but says he isn't an official dealer. Which has confused me....any info?
  4. The options offer too narrow a range of options an no mustang basses so it's no good for me.
  5. Probably mentioned already, but the lack of a 3.5mm stereo audio in or Bluetooth connectivity for audio is a bit of an omission as far as I'm concerned. Never understood why manufacturers add a headphone jack, but not the means to mix in external sources.
  6. Sorry to hear this @solo4652, sounds like you're well out of it, although that's not a lot of help I know. I'm starting to understand why band members choose to own the PA or the van, reduces the chances of this shit happening.....
  7. I didn’t really think about that until you said it! I’ve only recently added the B7k, it replaced a vintage Microtubes, so the all black theme is new 😎
  8. Definitely poach the singer if she's interested. I'm assuming you are already making plans to seduce the drummers wife? It is the expected response I understand.
  9. To be honest I’ve experienced similar when I was playing drums in a Wigan based covers band. I only found out as someone posted photos on FB from a rehearsal the band was having with a different drummer. The band leader bass player phoned me a few days later to explain that it was nothing to do with my ability and that he had replaced me with the singer’s wife so they could do more gigs. In principle I guess the reasoning was ok but the whole process of informing me left a lot to be desired. I think the band should have changed their name from Shallow Groove to Shallow Bast***s.😂. I was annoyed for a while to be honest as I had put a lot of time and effort into getting the parts spot on including Times like These (I was the only one who could count to 7) but after a while I moved on to much better bands and more high profile gigs. I’m sorry that you have had to experience such poor manners and standards of behaviour, I would like to think that incidents such as these are few and far between but they’re probably not. All the best in your search for something better, onwards and upwards!

  11. Thanks for the reply!
  12. Hey guys, So, this is the older version of the combo, before the 700RBII. I’ve had it for over a year, after about 6 months the power board shorted out after not pressing in the power button fully. I took it to Taunton Audio Visual Services who managed to get it up and running again. About another 6 months later the same issue has happened again. I’ve since bought a replacement head and have been using the 210 exclusively via a speakon adapter and the cab works perfectly fine and sounds great. When the head was working it sounded even better! I’m offering this up as a repair for someone with the know how or knows someone who can help, and just as a good and solid 2x10 cabinet which can be used with any head with the adapter. The overall condition of the combo is pretty good for its age. The handle and wheels all work perfectly fine and there is no major cosmetic damage. This is a collection only from Bridgwater, Somerset. I can also meet up or deliver within a certain distance as well. Thanks, Josh.
  13. I really don’t need more preamps but I’ve always been curious to try this one.
  14. Hi Greg, I know this is years on from your initial post, but did you ever resolve the issue? I’ve just picked up a Hohner B2A with the drop d, but it doesn’t work at all. The lever moves but makes no difference to the tone. TIA Andy

  16. Really looks desolate now:
  17. My mini "Essentials" board from a recent function gig I did. Loving the Neptunium! Gigrig Generator underneath, mounted on a Rockboard Duo 2.0
  18. I think I have fewer requirements than most as mine is just for the mixer, no chord sheets or anything. Having said that, I spent £40 on a refurbished Amazon Kindle Fire 10. It works great and I can recommend it for running Mixing Station.
  19. Most of the remaining parts arrived - chassis, board, choke, hardware, resistors. Just waiting on the capacitors now.
  20. That is my view too. I got a Nokia tablet, refurbished by Nokia with new battery etc for a littl;e over £100. Is it the best tablet? Clearly not, but for the needs of a gigging tablet it does all that's required and more. At some point when it starts getting a little older I'll just switch off updates entirely. The only network I need to connect to is the mixer's router.
  21. Im always nervous of leaving something muted when we go back on, so I have my XR18 set to Mute/unmute all by any of the mute buttons. FOH stays on and the iPad playing music does as well, but the band are all muted with one button (and it can be any of the big red buttons).
  22. Thank you - I had a bit of spare workshop time - so I did a bit in the day today ... makes it zip along when you can knock a couple of intensive hours off the total ☺️
  23. I experimented with an adjustable nut on my basses, but only to the extent of pushing a bit of galvalized wire under the strings next to the nut, so that it could be slid/angled as required. Made a real difference to the intonation at the low end (bottom 3 or 4 frets), and after setting the intonation at the bridge has negligible affect elsewhere. Didn't do anything permanent as I assumed that the required position would change with the strings fitted. In princible a good idea.
  24. I would have thought they would be the same? I have only had one dingwall and quite a lot of ibanezs but I didn't get that feel from my dingwall.
