I recently bought a bass stand from Ed. I was very pleased with the whole experience- great comms, arrived in the post quickly, and it was extremely well packed. I would do business with Ed again without hesitation.

I got a set of Lekato MS-02’s yesterday. They seem to sound ok but latency is just noticeable. Manual says 10.5ms in stereo. Im using wireless system for bass as well so i guess its going to be effected. Its not unusable, and barley noticable, but its there. I tried with my usual system and that was better. It’s just too much to take out just for rehearsals. So, ive ordered a set of the Nux B-7PSM’s off amazon, which is stating 5ms. Just wondered if they are the same as Lekato and only listing the mono latency, so it doubles when run in stereo. Any ideas?

Yes, and cars arent allowed to run you over on a zebra crossing but it's still wise to look left and right before you cross.............. (less snarkily, yes, theyve been required for over 20 years but you'll still encounter the odd legacy system out there so its a good idea to carry your own. Be prepared and all that dib dib dib) Yes, 13a plug in rcds exist - they cost about the same as a couple of pints https://www.screwfix.com/p/masterplug-13a-fused-plug-in-active-rcd-plug/44855 -

This is very interesting stuff. As you have posted the link, do you measure your own power requirement? I have always harboured doubts about using a single socket so it would be interesting to know if it was possible. I'll get one of those devices anyway but it would be good to have some idea. I'll certainly ensure the singer/guitarist is always utilising a single socket for his amp and the PA.

These are amazing basses. Unique design, lightweight and built to a fantastic standard.

Doesn't look like it atm. Im pretty new to the QC and im blown away at what it will do. Lots of compliments from sound techs and crowd about the sound too. Id like to try the Anagram but think its a year or 2 away from being a real competitor to the QC

This is wonderful.

Aren't residual current breakers required for any legal installation ? (General question) Do they exist as simple carry along / plugin devices ?

This was my concern when the news broke that he had switched over to Fodera, that his signature sound would be missing from any new Mudvayne music, not so much Soften The Glare. The song isn’t bad, if anything it does have a fair bit of aggression that has been absent from their last few albums and as you’ve said, Chad sounds somewhat rejuvenated and even Matt has some tasty drum parts throughout. If they have gone ahead and recorded a new album or even an EP, I’m just hoping there are a few songs in which Ryan shines because he made listening to the unpopular albums (The New Game, Self titled) easier due to always playing something unique and having that unmistakable Thumb bass tone to fatten up the mix, or at least make up a big part of each albums sound. At least though, from a recent-ish pic, he does still have all of his Warwick’s, so you never know, one day😂

Think I’ve mentioned this before but when a venue asks to see any PAT certificates for your gear, then you also have the right to see their up to date EIC (Electrical Installation Certificate). If it’s a temporary event then the organiser should have evidence of the electrical supply completed to BS7909 standards. -

Yep. I remember those days. The band was a refuge from all the other stuff that clamoured for my attention. Having said that, being in a band with those who have the family commitments, job demands, etc can be awkward. My band has recently had the "We'll have to limit the number of gigs we accept. The missus complains she never sees me, the job is demanding, etc" discussion. I understand their situation and appreciate it's easier for me, as a retired single bloke, but having worked to get ourselves to a position where we are in demand, only to row back from it, is frustrating.
