  2. Simple-ish... Got a pic of the inside the control cavity? 2 Position Switch, Couple of Quid...
  3. I've just managed to bugger my yamaha bb110d that has been my go to bass for over 30 years. I've somehow snapped off the active/passive switch and am now getting no sound. Does anyone know if this is an easy enought fix or can recommend someone good with electrics/preamps in the Bristol area. Thanks
  4. I am the happy new owner of Kev's Trondheim overdrive pedal, and very lovely it is too! Top bloke to deal with, the pedal was just as described and arrived the next day.
  5. It would be great to have a Bass Bash in Louth, especially with the local scene moving quite a bit. Personally, I think that a weekend around jazz / blues would really attract people.
  6. The Neuser NFS is based on the same principle indeed, but whith a very slightly concave metallic sitar type saddle and a mechanical system allowing it to be put in place. I fitted a few on customers basses when they were released in the late 90's early 2000's (yes, I used to be a luthier at some time in my life). You have to be very picky when it comes to the set-up, locking all screws when the desired tone was obtained and lubricating the moving parts to allow the bridge to function properly each and every time.
  7. Burning up time. Stranglers
  8. Finally mine should arrive Thursday
  9. You’re all approaching this from the wrong side - fill in the bit on the pedalboard “p”! You’re welcome 🤣
  10. If the clearcoat is spirit based, is there a risk that the sharpie line will bleed? David
  11. Thanks all!
  12. Marketing plays a huge part in the cost of designer fans. Generally it’s more than the fan that’s responsible for the noise generated.
  13. Check out Shake Some Acton promoters - based in West London obviously, but put gigs on all over London, mainly garage rock & psychobilly stuff. Some good bands on that scene, many of similar ages to yourself @Agent 00Soul, new personnel often needed, put your name about, you never know.
  14. Didn't the effusive language and cliches raise any red flags? "Rod Stewart BRINGS THE WORLD TO TEARS... Not beneath shimmering stage lights, but under the heat of the sun on a construction site, he traded his microphone for a hard hat. Each brick he laid seemed to echo like a note of gratitude, a hymn of respect for those who had given everything. There were no spotlights, no encores — only a man transforming love, duty, and legacy into something tangible. Fans were moved to tears, calling it “the greatest masterpiece of Rod Stewart’s life” — not a song carried by music, but a melody carved in compassion, humility, and an unshakable tribute to true heroes." It's so obviously false.
  15. Today
  16. That's not the one I sold you is it? Looks lovely anyway.
  17. Also some new RST Zebra limited ones
  18. oh i seee , so if you put it on the flat setting its like a bypass?
  19. Hello SumOne. I think your bocals sound like Leroy Sibles, if hou don't know him you should check him out, was around nany years ago. Had Dennis Brown znd Gregory Isaacs on Bvs. I like you voice. Daniel. Greenwich area. What instrument do yoj play
  20. Really cool set up for double bass that I’ve been using for a while now. Both cabs have downward firing 10” speakers which give great dispersement. Overall a very natural sound which works great for double bass (never used it for bass guitar but nothing to stop you…) The amp is rated to 2 ohms so one internal 4 ohm speaker and the ext cab is then a further 4 ohm speaker. Any questions let me know of course but I think AI gear is fairly well known so I suspect if you are looking you already have a good idea! As you can see from the pics both items are cased. Power cord and longer speakon cable for the ext are included of course. Both are pretty much mint condition, one very small indentation on the front plate of thecombo that I haven’t really been able tocapture in the pics. Cheers, Abd
  21. @doubleneck: that was my idea so far, but i fear at least one of the necks is always in a 'wrong' position. i wanted to put 2 Hondo Alien together. These are cheap 80ties korean copys of a Kramer Duke. All wood. 30". Very light and small. Sound shabby, until you add an East electronic and proper PU's 👍 I really like these just by the physics! They suit my injuries well. Can't tell why. Used one of those with a midi'ish PU for years on stage. Silly me. The very moment i get a 2nd one i try to defret and put the 2 together, even if it's only to say 'well, i tried everything'...🤷‍♂️ let's hope best! This version would solve at least the different sound (fr/fl) issues 😉 now i check those chinese ones... 1. Hondo Alien 2. example of what it might be 3.vertical, done by german master luthier Magnus Krempel (RIP)
  22. Thanks @Hellzero, yes the seller has already been kind enough to answer a bunch of questions from me!
  23. I have one of these and it’s very good. I don’t fiddle with the controls much, tending to leave it in passive mode in the usual 60:40 jazz pup mix but I do like the string spacing
  24. JMB is JoinMyBand
  25. Is there a Search bible somewhere? Looking to do a search in the for sale area that comes up with hundreds of pages but want to elimate all the sold items. -sold doesn't do anything.

  26. Nice! A fantastic bass for a great price!
  27. I took my own advice and prompted two different AI models about the instrument in the photo and they both bombed. They thought it was a Burns Vista Sonic. Fail.
