  1. Past hour
  2. This is a great sounding amp that has never let me down, and always got me compliments on my tone. In great condition except a small dent on the top that is hardly noticeable. Doesn't affect the operation of the amp on any way. Going all in on the Darkglass Anagram, so having 4 amps is very excessive! Happy to ship for cost, or meet up within reasonable distance of High Wycombe.

  4. I’m in a house band that does a weekly jam , and let other players use my gear. Four different players , same bass , same amp , same settings will sound completely different.
  5. Looks a bit like a dog of some kind imho 🙂
  6. Oh, go on, add me in and I’ll actually try to fail, which probably means I’ll have another gear-less year.
  7. Me neither ! Would like to see the full story ..
  8. That is beyond sweeeeeet!
  9. I’m a three-timer myself. Finally got it right!
  10. John - love this! I used to have an Alesis, too, some years back and concur it was a PITA to programme! Look forward to following how your pub trio band develops. I think the bass & Beat Buddy combination could be a really neat rhythm section if it can be made to fly! I've not come across much on social media with bands using Beat Buddy, so if you guys are posting anything on YouTube or Instagram please do share! (And if you have anything with your Alesis SR16, to show a drum machine in live band setting that would also be great).
  11. I can't see a problem, assuming he doesn't turn up his mids and you don't turn up your deep bass. On the upside, your cab on top of his would give you a monitor closer to your ears. David
  12. Read a bit further back - from context you will glean that we were discussing the lack of input from the unfortunate soul who engaged the "services" of the "luthier".
  13. Hooverville - The Christians
  14. And to all of you.
  15. Housework - Robert Palmer
  16. Great meetup with Sam this morning - nice and easy communication and very prompt payment. Nice guy thanks Sam!
  17. Bob collected a bass from me - great communication, easy meetup, nice chap
  18. Having used an Alesis SR16 for over 10 years in a Pub trio band I treated myself to a Beat Buddy 2 for Christmas. Programming the Alesis was tedious, but the Beat Buddy 2 is much easier to use. The Beat Buddy Manager Online software is intuitive and offers extensive patterns, Song Finder support, and access to a large song community. A new Pub trio band project starting in the new year ( female vox /guitar: guitar: bass: & Beat Buddy 2) will, hopefully, benefit from the new acquisition.
  19. Now collected thanks
  20. Does anyone near Bristol have one I could spend some time with? Happy to book out an hour at a rehearsal space. I'm a gnats codpiece away from selling some gear to buy one.
  21. Thanks for the input! I've had to keep hold of my C4 and OC-5 as I don't think it quite covers what they do yet - so I'm currently running those with a powerpack and using the Anagrams stock PSU. I just haven't got faith in it but nervous about going all battery for something so high powered when playing 2 hours+. How did you find the NAM? I'm tempted to do this with my Tone Hammer but seems a bit above my technical abilities...
  22. Think they're referring to the poster still waiting for some sort of vaguely bass-shaped object from Jon Letts. Hopefully he's written this off as a learning experience and moved on. Letts appears to be skint, wholly untrustworthy and generally a bit useless based on what we've heard here, I'd have bought myself a different bass and tried to forget about it.
  23. I have seen quite a few pros using a Sire. Just the standard cooking models. Very respected.
