  1. Past hour
  2. I actually quite like the headstock. Not played the Tributes but have had 3 US over the years, ASAT and SB1 basses and a Legacy 6 string. I regret parting with them all, although I wouldn't go back to the ASAT bass because of the body shape discomfort/neck dive on a strap. The build quality was very good on all, would be sad to see them go, but as others have suggested, in the crowded marketplace of today, it's easy to understand how they might be struggling.
  3. If only I didn't need a new cabinet first....nice amp.. Best of luck with the sale.
  4. this is my new Torzal on a stand), but the sound is identical, it will give you some idea, it outside & a iPhone(ignore the singing ..ha)
  5. Yeah tried Mike, not that one I’m afraid, think it had already gone. I know they’re pretty rare but I’ll keep my fingers crossed someone decides to cash in
  6. On the other hand Active Di and phantom power has been a solution for the last half century 🤣
  7. If I could grab it off you in town (London) sometime would that work? I’ll buy it! PD
  8. Have you put this file up before? Went to download it and I already had a copy. Anyroadup, as it's got measurements in groats and cubits, I did a swift edit: Pickup Positions For Many Makes Of Bass - metric & imperial.xlsx
  9. You've been watching Project Binky too then.
  10. I think chimike on here was off loading loads of trace gear a while back? Not sure what he still has left?
  11. I've just bought some Straploks from Ed and it was an easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy (technical term 🤣) deal. Thanks. 👍
  12. Thanks for that. I'm pleased to see my Loop Switch are highly rated, especially at that price.
  13. Hi Chris, Seems I don’t automatically get a notification when someone replies! I’ve PM’d you the number. Terry
  14. Insane Clown Posse in October, followed by GWAR the night after.
  15. Today
  16. One thing that no-one is taking into account is how less relevant "The Charts" are nowadays compared with 50 years ago especially in the UK. Back in the 70s anyone with even a passing interest in popular music would be watching TotP on a Thursday night and probably taping their favourite songs off the top 40 show on Sunday. If they were really keen they'd also be listening to the brand new chart run-down on Wednesday morning. These days does anyone even care? As well as the demise of TotP there has been a massive fragmentation of genres which means that there is no longer one (or maybe two) overall defining musical trend at any given time, which means that now songs from almost any gene have the possibility to be popular and not just what is currently flavour of the month.
  17. Me too! And I agree, they really are fantastic
  18. Are these US or Chinese made? Do you have a model number for dimensions?
  19. The whole 'kitchen scales' thing is just so declasse these days, don't you think? Here we have the intersection of luggage scales with a meat-hook ... so much more satisfying. And no, your eyes do not deceive you. The scales register exactly 9.5lbs = pretty much the weight of every decent (single-necked) P-bass in existence.
  20. 4 or 10 Hi Quality XLR Leads for studio Patching Or dmx I have 10 of these left over from a studio install These are really good quality check them on line im selling 4 for £23 or all 10 for £49 Post will be extra Cheers all
  21. Yeah, sure! It's dead simple - just find a receptacle big enough (I'm using a plastic Costco snack container, the kind with a big screw top lid) - fill up nearly to the top with the meths, then wind up the strings tight enough to pop them in the meths, leave them there for a day or two, then pull them out and air dry (preferably outside or somewhere with really good airflow). That's all there is to it! Periodically I have to extract the gunk from the bottom as it can stain the strings eventually if it gets on there, but otherwise, that's it!
  22. Shame, they are great DI pedals but sadly the HPF is important to tame excess bass, variable as you say, why did you keep it ? I would have sent it back for a replacement Finally V3....hope it worked out for you in the end.....
  23. Such cool gear, my fist amp was a Trace Elliot. So bloody heavy I used to push it in a Presto supermarket trolley to rehearsals at the local school, about a mile away uphill!!! Searching for a V8 atm if anyone has one in their garage
  24. Wild Thing - Acid Drinkers
