  1. Past hour
  2. There's a question mark icon on the listing page (in line with the price in my phone's browser) which takes you to the 'report' form. The item didn't sell... so has been relisted with a more 'human' description at a higher starting price.
  3. What does NS-4 mean? They've got 2 humbuckers usually. 4 coils? NS-5 must be 5 strings.
  4. Just thought I'd mention a guitar/bass shop I came across recently in Maidstone (postcode ME15 8QF). Its called The Guitar Tech and has an interesting selection of new and used basses (plus many more guitars) as well as amps and accessories. I bought a really nice 1990 MIJ Fender Jazz from there recently for a very reasonable price. I think the shop has sufficient stock turnover to make it worthwhile checking in from time to time. The main bass salesperson/technician there is Graham (BaggyMan on this very web site) who also continues to independently buy, upgrade and sell on his own account on Basschat. I can attest to his bass tech skils (setups and electrics) and am very pleased there is a physical shop/luthiery/guitar tech facility nearish where I live to visit for advice and help. God knows they're getting increasingly rare. I'd thoroughly recommend anyone in Kent, East Sussex, SE London, maybe even Essex, to check out The Guitar Tech if they're in that neck of the woods. We need to use these places or lose them!
  5. I switched to the .77mm Gravity acrylic pick, mostly using one of the round corners. Gives a fuller tone, while still being somewhat snappy.
  6. As with all things like this - the end result for a gig relies on the PA being good. One of the reasons I've got a HX Stomp is that after 10 years with a Helix I can dial in pretty much anything I want in a few minutes, so if I pitch up at a gig and my favourite patches sound awful then I can cobble something together fast even if it is very different to my preferred tone. Getting the gig done is far more important than me loving the tone. Single amp based preamps always carry a risk that it just won't suit a situation no matter what the settings are. Even with my Stomp I have a Caline knock off of a BDDI in the bag. I have the Behringer as well but the Caline is in a smaller enclosure so I take that with me. Still - as of 30 mins ago my youngest has passed her driving test so now I have to find a couple of grand to insure her as an unsupervised driver so I won't be buying any posh pedals for a while. She's got another 2-3 years of study before she gets a full time job so I really hope the No Claims Discount comes easily!
  7. Somebody Stole The Wedding Bell (Who's Got The Ding-Dong) — Eartha Kitt
  8. It seems we're quite popular in Athens. This was our ninth gig there. We played Gagarin for the first time back in 2009 - we've also played at The Rodeo Club twice, Six d.o.g.s once, The AN Club three times and played the Death Disco festival in 2023, headlining the second stage. There have been two promoters fighting over the right to put us on for several years. The Death Disco festival was the first with the current promoter - he seems to be able to do a better job so we'll stick with this guy.
  9. Yes, Pete Morgan playing with Blossom Dearie, using his Burns bass. Excellent playing and great tone.
  10. Today
  11. My Ding a Ling - Chuck Berry
  12. I was answering @Chris2112 concerning the white Tetsuo Sakurai, not you. Yours is a real refinished in white TRB-6P, for sure.
  13. I bought the recent Classic Vibe " re-issue " its REALLY grown on me i wouldn't have picked it over any other finish but playing wise ... through luck or setup kicked the crap out of all the other options and i needed to leave the shop with a bass or i wasn't playing the wedding . Changing the Antigua Scratchplate to a black one was a massive improvement IMHO , the " colour matched" one is going begging if anyone is DESPERATE for Antigua on Antigua . Its Standard Fender screw pattern.
  14. Hellzero. It's a TRB6P. Neck through. Same preamp, same pickups, same woods. You can argue about the colour but you can't argue about the bass. What is your point?
  15. As suspected no problem at all with the bridge pins, they all come out perfectly easily.
  16. Hi I'm not really using this anymore so somebody else should get the pleasure of it. It's in excellent condition and is indistinguishable from new. It has the box, the manual, the unopened USB cable that came with and a little NUX sticker. The box is basically as-new. This is the latest version. the MP-3 version, as it has the USB-C connector. I tend to use the Mightier app on IOS than the 'official' one as its better in my opinion, though you can use whatever you wish. I could post in a load of fluff from their marketing blurb but I won't. Might make a very nice Xmas present for someone in your life. Postage is at cost or if you want to collect, please let me know. Thankls Rob

  17. All true, but that argument applies equally to bass cabs.
  18. I wondered that too. It would make sense I think. As for the £449 price, it's something I'd be willing to pay if I knew it was going to be the answer to what I needed but as with all gear you never know until you've thoroughly tried it, which usually means owning it for a while. It's just a bit too high as I ended up flipping the other BassRigs. As of yet I've never preferred a 'cab-simmed' sound no matter who makes it. I did particularly like one of the Origin Fifteen demos but it was impossible to determine whether the mojo was a good P bass or not as the pedal was always on. But I do keep coming back to that demo.
  19. I bought this new in April last year, using it briefly before discovering GR Bass. As such, everything is in mint condition and I still have the original boxes too so shipping is an option. This is an incredibly versatile amp, so much so that I couldn't possibly run through everything it can do here. There are lots of video reviews worth watching, but I am going to guide you to our very own Dood's review here, which gives a good deep dive into the amp. Boss Katana 500 Bass Head (£734) Boss BT-DUAL Bluetooth adapter (£45), so you can adjust settings on the fly via the app Boss GA-FC pedal (£99)l, again, for ease of switching in a live setup Boss VE-22 Vocal Processor Bag (£74), a perfect fit for the amp, power lead and a couple of speaker cables I’ve added some pictures taken today but forgot to add proof of ownership. Hopefully folks will know I am a stand up guy on here and save me the effort of retaking the pictures.

  21. I think it's 'Walk On' by Corinne Bailey Rae
  22. Your Song - Elton John
  23. If I can get in early enough ie before the punters, and if the venue doesn’t complain, then this is what I do with the DriveRack auto eq feature. But, as the majority of our gigs are pub gigs, this rarely happens.
