As I was transferring all the tracks I had a quick listen to each with my singer who agreed that there wasn't a single one he wouldn't happily own.

Great work guys, thanks to everyone participating and everyone just joining in on the conversation and comments.

Lets not forget to thank 13 guitar Co.for such an amazing prize. I think it really helped push the efforts forward a touch too. As has already been said, whoever wins this really will deserve it great entries all round and a special thanks for not getting negatively competitive which was a real dread of mine.

Very well said charic! There really is a wealth of wonderful music here, and every track (I just finished listening to them all in sequence) has so much personality, that's the one thing that's really struck me above all else, and it's to be cherished and valued so very highly. Best of luck to everyone, let the public decide! It's BassChat's X FACTOR Time! :D

And of course many thanks to 13 Guitar for the amazing prize!

With fifteen entries, all of which are superb, what a diverse mix of excellent music to listen to!

Good luck to everyone.

As everyone will no doubt say (and have already), thanks to 13 Guitar for a great prize :)

Edit: Who ever voted for me has just made my weekend! Seriously, I didn't get a vote last time and this has really made me happy :) Many thanks.

Voted, it was hard to choose but I went for the track I was drawn to listen to all the way through rather then skipping bits.

All good stuff, I'm shocked that so few people vote.

Cool! Although I have to say that I'm a bit shocked you skip though them if I'm honest, I think the composers deserve a full listen :) No worries though, I think that's the way a lot of people listen to music these days. Bit sad really.

So true - people seem to have such a short attention span now, and I think that new media is... hey, is that an iPhone 5?? Cool!

yep, this music skipping always makes me kind of sad - but I have to confess I do it, too.

only to hear it in this competition from a fellow musician...

but never mind, it's just music.

No disrespect to the composers meant, I know how much effort goes into producing these tunes, some talented folk on Basschat :)

What shocked and saddened me was that fact only 13 people have voted in total.

I've previewed them all as they've been added but now genuinely looking forward to a proper listening session with a couple of cold ones (or warm flat ones as is my preference...).

I think it's fair to say this month has brought out the best in everyone. I'm genuinely chuffed to be a part of all this - best music community on the Interweb for sure - and here's offering a grizzly a hug and slosh of raised glasses to all involved!

Cheers y'all! :-)

Excellent crop indeed, this month. Can this be sustained, I wonder, it's so good..?
Obviously an enormously difficult choice when it comes to voting; seems so unfair for all who have made such an effort, with stupendous results, only to be able to vote for one. Hint to (already over-worked...) site developers: find a way of allowing us to classify (1st, 2nd, 3rd etc...); can't be too hard, can it..? What was that..? Yes, it's difficult..? Oh well; thanks anyway...
The criteria for deciding are, I suppose, different for each of us. Although impressed (and doubtless swayed...) by the technical prowess of many entries here, I finally went for a 'simpler' treatment (all things are relative..!) with a personal touch and freshness, combined, of course, with very pertinent compositional talent on the subject(s).
Looking forward already to next month's challenge. Who knows..? I could be tempted to envisage an entry, even, simply for the prestige of being listened to in such company.
Well done, all.

+1
This was really tuff! but in the end, I had to choose between four.. and as this is a Bass players' forum, I went for the one where the Bass was the instrument that stood out the most, and was played real well.. congrats to them and to everyone!!
