  2. You’re right, I don’t know why I thought it’s 35”, but the online specs say 34. However bass has just been sold.
  3. Fender 60th Anniversary Road Worn Jazz Bass. This copy of a 1961 Jazz bass which features the rare, and in my opinion far superior, dual concentric pots, allowing independent tone control of the front and back pickup. Finished in a 3 tone sunburst nitrocellulose-lacquer, with a light relic, it does look and sound the part. Includes a Fender classic series hard case. I’m located in S63, feel free to come try it out. £895 ONO. 4. Looks much better now, nice little home setup.
  5. They had some made in the Cortek factory under the Lite Ash series, the E serial number would indicate a Samick (I think) who made some Squiers.
  6. The Baby Quasar, is the Analog phase part of the mighty Quasar (without the extra digital bells and whistles) It's a very versatile 4 stage Phaser, with control over the centre frequency which should be standard on all phasers, as well as resonance and depth/rate. It can do the warm phase 90 thing, but also can have a very bright aggressive sound, which works perfectly with fuzz, it has a very wide range . It can also run up to 12v for extra headroom, very cool phaser indeed, I've tried loads of others and this is my favourite, just need to unlock a bit of cash. It has a bit of the wording worn off, but other than that in good condition, very small pedal in a pretty palma violet colour. Comes with the original Box
  7. Set neck? There’s a lot to be said for the two knob simplicity of the 4000. Great basses.
  8. I guess that like anything it's about how close they want you to get to the original. Some classic rock is fairly straight forward, some is more complicated but can be simplified and some has to be played as recorded as the bass forms an important part of the song. I was asked to learn 'Fool For Your Loving' exactly as on the record for an audition and once I sat down to listen to the bass parts, I found there were more notes than I thought! 😃 But I could have got away with playing less had they not insisted on complete accuracy. I assume you have the set list so you could categorise the songs into 'Easy to learn', 'Easy version of tricky bass line' and 'Iconic bassline that needs to be played'. Ultimately the band will set you right on what they want. Personally, I don't like the phrase 'get away with' so I'd be learning the basslines as they are or versions I can learn quickly that are sympathetic to the song. Go for it and good luck. 😃
  9. +1 for the visible veneer. See-through blond would be my take.
  10. Any trades open please send a PM A lightweight versatile modern bass. I like these so much I have two… this and a 6 string version. But I don’t need both. Weight on luggage scales = 3.35kg /3.45kg with some Middle-of-Lidl-£5-luggage-scales 🤠 These are somewhat underrated so IYKYK. the bass player on Krallice uses one of these and also that guy from YouTube, so needless to say these can cover a lot of ground. currently strung with Elixer ultra lights. 95-45 coated. collection From Edinburgh
  11. There must get be some in the warehouse.
  12. The price was hidden when I clicked on the link on my phone. Scrolled up...nearly fell over.
  13. Yes, the finish looks stunning and much better in person than on the photos I took with my cheap phone. Solid maple wings are getting rare and expensive too. The Bass Gallery is currently selling a used 2017 NS-2 with solid maple wings in an amber finish for £6,000.00! Well, maybe I should reconsider my pricing as the pickups I put on turned the NS-4 (DCs) into a NS-2 (PJ)! https://thebassgallery.com/collections/bass/products/ns2
  14. .............. welcome to my world .................. 😎
  15. Looking good Ref neck dive - on the strap at least, once you have a strap button at the end of the upper horn it is very unlikely that it will dive. The button will be well in the 'goldilocks' zone, at pretty much 12th fret and as such, the weight distribution would have to be massively out for it not to balance If it is imbalanced over the knee, and that's how you prefer playing, there are a few decent options: - As @BassApprentice says, you could fit some Utralights - the 'Licensed by' Hipshots are great quality and good value - you could take a bit of timber off the headstock, ie keep the shape but make it a bit slimmer/shorter/thinner. The leverage effect enhances the effect of relatively small changes - widen the bottom waist carve forward so the bass sits on your knee further forward of the centre of gravity. Again, a centimeter or so can make a big difference

  17. My dream is to be able to travel to all my London based shows by bike. If I didn't live in a first floor flat with a winding staircase I would already own an Omnium cargo bike.
  18. PRICE REDUCED TO £500. I recently acquired this cab in a trade but I have no need for it myself. It's in great condition and the sound is impressive. It comes with the Genzler branded soft cover too. These cabs are £899 at Bass Direct (reduced from £1,099) so I think I've priced it competitively and at less than the trade value I took it for. Here's a really comprehensive article on the cab which gives you everything you would want to know about it - https://www.bassgearmag.com/genzler-ba12-3-slt-bass-cab/ Collection from Kinver near Stourbridge or I might be able to meet you on my gig travels. No trade offers, sale only.
  19. A violin case belonging to my wife that’s no longer needed. It reminds me of my old Sadowsky bass case - lightweight but high levels of protection. All zips work fine. Price includes UK shipping but collection is fine. It may be possible to meet up too depending on where and when.
