  2. Again you make the building process look like it was easy. All details are thought through, like fret ends! Can you give an approximate building time of this beauty? If this was the fifth bass this year, how many are you planning to do by the end of 2025?
  3. Having some interweb issues at home so not managed to post this pic til now… You can see how snug it is due to the handles but then I used one of the dividers from the Trace bag, then popped in the foot switch (as you can see), and also now the foot switch cable, a mains lead, my Elf, and a speaker cable for each amp. Handy!
  4. Haha I am trying to sell it

  6. The FrankenJazz - Geddy Lee Jazz body, Status neck, Audere Jazz pre, Hipshot d-tuner/extender Line6 HX Effects - I was going to sell this but have started using instead of the bigger pedalboard where space is limited. Rochester compressor always on, a couple of synthy patches, flanger, chorus and a switch for a 6db boost that I managed too step on instead of the chorus at one point 🤦‍♂️ Darkglass Microtubes 500 Barefaced BB2 with the horn at about 50% and stood on the amp case Most of it hiding behind me and our youngest ‘fan’, one of our drummer’s granddaughters
  7. A pleasure to sell a gig bag to, very quick payment, friendly and easy going comms. Thanks Anthony.
  8. Well, I mentioned that you have to choose a type music you actually like, not a type of music you don't like and have no intention of actually playing. If my former bands had decided to suddenly become a downtuned stoner band then I probably wouldn't have left them so I wouldn't consider this an example of the tactic backfiring. Even then, if the resultant music wasn't what I liked I would advise that I was looking to do a different type of downtuned stoner and leave anyway.
  9. Just seen one for sale on Bass Direct site!
  10. Quite clearly says £5600 in the title!
  11. Good way to find out that everybody in the band was a closet polka fan... and then what? ...yes this has a horrible way of backfiring - yesterday I told my son's new girlfriend that we would be having mussels for dinner as a throw-away joke thinking no kid likes mussels, only to find out she is a seafood fan and was hugely disappointed that it ended up being spaghetti - got an all round bollocking from my wife and son! If you tell the band you want to play "downtuned stoner doom music" you might find yourself coming back to this thread asking how to get out of a slightly different band!
  12. 'Hi everyone, I have really enjoyed rehearsals over the last couple of weeks. However after much thought and deliberation I can't help but realise that we are focusing on on traditional Czech polka music. I do not wish to force you to change directions again and as such I must with regret offer my resignation in order to enable me to put together a new group which will focus on my own particular love of Slovenian polka.' When there are sub-genres there is always a way to quit.

  16. This one is a very comfortable 19mm.
  17. No worries that's what I thought, worth a try though. If someone else wants to take the C4 off your hands let me know and take the controller. Cheers
  18. Just noticed thats the original EMG preamp encapsulated module. Very nice indeed and far better sounding than the MEC preamp from later models. The sticker label on the bridge pick up looks like it says a Stage 1 Streamer pick up. I believe the streamer and Thumb basses had the same pick ups. Mine is the 89 model with EMG's but doesn't have the sticker label. WOW someone really needs to buy this as its one heck off a bass to play with one of the best necks i've ever played. Dave

  20. Dunno how much the Hohners differ, but in the case of my B2B, I found that the length of the strap was essential - and the B2B has been the only bass I've had that was that peculiar about it. With that bit out of the way, however, the B2B worked perfectly for my body. Of course different bodies have different angles etc. As to sitting, I missed that Steinberger fold-out thingie, but better solutions than that should be easy fixes.
  21. Barefaced One Ten Cab 200 watt 8 ohms. Excellent condition with the usual tolex lift at the back. A nice loud little cab, very light and perfect for small gigs and rehearsals. Pickup preferred but I could post at buyer’s cost in the UK.
