Saturday night, back at a WMC that Dirty Roses have played at before. Went down well, which was nice. I've done several years of social club work so I'm used to the bingo and play your cards right, it's still a novelty for the others. Antoniotsai dragon bass -> Lekato WS-90 -> Zoom MS-60B+ -> Tecamp Puma 900 -> GR Bass AT212. We have our youngest fan.

Not sure if this counts as a rookie error (or maybe saved by a pro?) but many years ago I played at a rather posh end of year school concert for my old school, in an acoustic guitar duet with an old guitar teacher called Simon James (who was one of the founding members of the band "Acoustic Alchemy" if anyone remembers them). The whole concert had gone very well so in a fit of enthusiasm the school music teacher invited all the musicians to come up on stage with their instruments for an impromptu finale. As I went to go up Simon motioned at me to sit down and said we would sit this one out. Sure enough it was an embarrassing disaster that fortunately we had no part of!

I was researching the prices of pre-CBS Jazzes as I have quite a budget built up for music stuff. However, it seems to be impossible to find one under €10K... The 64 refin at Andy Baxter is lovely but it's almost €8K plus shipping and VAT. That hurts.

What a beauty! I’ve absolutely fallen in love with my MIJ International Series P-Bass. I didn’t expect it to become my go-to bass but it plays incredibly well and feels a bit lighter than my other P, so I’m a basswood, and Japanese Fender, convert. -
Sounds lovely, @ped.

I’ve not heard of Nevr Dull before, but a quick Google shows it to appear to be very similar to Duraglit, which I’ve used for years with good results. It’s now owned by Brasso, and marketed as Brasso ‘with Duraglit’ I believe. Easy to use and no mess. Great idea, will try that next time - thanks.

Sounds like mine are dying then. I've just charged both the box and the transmitter/receiver units, so tonight I'll use them at rehearsal and see how long they take to die... but it's clear mine do not work like yours. I'm going to do a few tests, just to get a better sense about how quickly they die, and then I'll attempt surgery. It'll probably end up with my buying another set and crossing my fingers.

Used to be mine. Its a wonderful lightweight and incredibly easy-to-play bass. I am back on long scale basses now, after my hand injury (largely) healed but this is an absolute beauty for those who love a shorter scale. BTW, the brand new one at Bass Gallery is £2,850, so this is a grand or so cheaper and looks to still be in the amazing condition when I sold it. GLWYS!

So beautiful! I have Jazz that looks very similar but is a Frankenbass, made from various parts of Fender, Warmouth, Bass Centre, and maybe Seymour Duncan (I can't remember anymore). This stock instrument looks nicer as it's untouched. Fender Japan comes up with the most creative, beautiful stuff! -

I read the transcripts, and sorry, still can't see it. I watched the parts of the videos of her in them, and she is clearly just miming along to the videos, and it is very obvious. if people believe that she is playing anything then they are probably idiots, or so far away from being able to make any music that I don't see anyone is losing anything. Compared to half the shit on youtube that actually matters, I think its pretty harmless. What do we expect from youtube and user generated content? Someone I know believes all the stuff he sees on youtube and parrots it with a pasion and a claritiy that I have never had about anything, about how much money the nhs was going to get from brexit, how russia was wronged by the west, how vaxines change your DNA and global warming is a hoax by big science etc - that stuff has consequences, this is some girl who has worked out how to make a few quid from people who want to watch her. I really don't understand how anyone can get annoyed about that?
