Sooooo, spent a fun hour or so the other night taking my 2022 Rickenbacker 4003 apart and checking all the connections, pots etc to figure out why the volume for one of the pickups wasn't working. Put it back together only to find I couldn't get the tone working either. Turned out I was turning the wrong knobs. I've been playing my Gibson EB-2D a fair bit recently, and the volume for the neck pickup is where the tone for the neck pickup is on the Rick. I have now invested in a set of labelled knobs from Rickysounds. This is another reason why I like Precisions.

While I know the arguments, there is something deeply painful about replacing large satisfying boxes with such a small one...

Great question OP! I'll go for these - one plus couple of runner ups. However they are all great albums in general. Winner: The Fall - Perverted by Language (Steve Hanley)... such a great bass sound, driving the whole band. Runners up: Violent Femmes self-titled debut (Brian Ritchie) - on paper he is overplaying and it should have ruined the album... but no it made it even greater! Stranglers - Any of the first 4 but I'll go Black and White.

Relisting this as, try as I might, I am not A Jazz Bass Guy. Original thread below, the only thing that’s changed since May is the bass is now wearing a nicely worn in set of La Bella IMA Super Polished strings. I’m in the market for a JMJ Mustang so would be interested in a trade involving one of those (plus cash adjustment on my end). Collection from Haywards Heath preferred, or I’d be happy to meet within 30 miles or so.

It actually isn't if it's built exactly after the original one. Both controls all the way down make it sort of slightly mid-boosted. There's a thread on TB with measurements done by someone who seems to know what they're saying. I've got those measurements as pics but am not quite sure what would it look like regarding copyright and such stuff.

One rehearsal studio I go to puts disposable (what look like) little raffia bags over the mics.

So that's three of us with the same experience in this thread now, which is a bit annoying! But unlike you, I was not prepared to live with it, and they are making me another cab, and the website has been changed to allow people to order the right cab for their needs in the first instance, and prevent this happening again. I like Barefaced, and Alex, I like what they do, I really like their cabs, they sound just right for me, but I suppose they can't do everything right all the time, that's just what people are like.

An excellent 6/12-stage phaser, being a clone of the revered Moogerfooger 103. I’ve just received this from Andertons today as a replacement for one I bought a few months ago that had a fault. I’m on a drive to raise money due to unemployment so don’t even want to put this on my board. As yet I haven’t even opened it. I’m happy to leave it unopened or to open to test and photograph for the buyer (once payment is received) if desired. Price includes recorded UK postage. Stock photo for illustrative purposes.

Hi Rob, If these are still available I'd like them please. I'm about to start my own BC 8 build. David
